back when Isiah made the Marbury trade, i reasoned to myself why it was a good trade to make & in the process take on so much added salary in the process... obviously the Knicks were the winners talent wise on the deal afterall... that trade didn't exactly work out the way we thought it would.

Just found out about the trade. I honestly didn't think Isiah could completely screw the pooch this year. I figured at worst, he would reach for someone and pass on Almond. Actually he did do that. But Zach Randolph?!?

What was the point when you already have Curry? Isiah still doesn't understand that it's not just a matter of collecting player but players that fit and complement one another. Not only don't they complement one another but they mirror each others games. Unbelievably stupid.

And so much for the whole, we're looking to get our cap down so we can be a player in the free agent market in a couple of years BS.

This roster is a ticking time bomb. Lee must be completely confused and will have to fight for every minute he can get. Marbury is about 6 months from demanding a contract extension. Randolph needed to go to a team with solid veteran leadership, here in NY he's primed to blow up with their leadership void. Curry is going to have to deal with playing with someone who wants to do the same things he does on offense, which is the only place where he has any worth.

This move is just so mindnumbingly stupid. Or in this case it's just Isiah repeating the same starphucking mistake over and over again.

isiah has set our expectations lower and lower every year.

and we're so desperate, we come crawling back for more. we're where the blazers were 3 years ago.

we need a clean break.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Absolutely awesome deal

Randolph is a borderline all star player. Exponentially better then Frye will ever be, plus we get rid of francis?

Before this deal was ever made i thought simple maturation could bring the Knicks to 42-43 wins this upcoming year, Randolph makes us even better

We now have 2 guys on our frontline who are among the elite in the league at getting to the foul line in Curry and Randolph. Opposing frontlines are going to be in foul trouble nightly. Randolph is over 80% from the line last year and can also step out and knock down a 16-18 footer

This is the best deal the Knicks have made in a long time. An absolute no brainer

C- Curry
PF- Randolph
SF- Richardson
SG- Crawford
PG- Marbury

Bench- Lee, Balkman, Collins, Nate, Jeffries, Chandler, Nichols, Morris, Rose, Dickau, Jones, James, Cato (3 of these guys has to go, cause we have 18 now). I wonder if Isiah could actually get something in return for the expiring contracts of Dickau and Fred Jones that clear a combined 6.1 mil in cap space after this year, or maybe we just release both outright

Thats a team who can win 45 next year, and take a look at the youthful talent on the bench! Thats already a competitive team in a weak Eastern conference next season, and with the upside of some of the sub 25 year olds on our bench, I dont think that 45 is the ceiling for this group

Let me guess, you dislike the deal because Isiah is "black to a fault"? Just like Gus Johnson?

This team will play above .500 next year. Could i be wrong on that? Sure. But Id rather be wrong then be a racist douchbag

Like others, I'm concerned about Rankolph's lack of d, the character issues and how the two play together. But we did get a fairly young (he's less than two years older than Frye) and very productive player who's coming off his best year. The proposed trades for Kobe, Garnett etc had me nervous in that we'd be giving up our best young players for an older player who will soon be on his way down. The guys we gave up weren't helping very much.

I'm racist b/c of that comment?

Or just honest and open about it.

I even meant in a half kidding way, but of course nowadays we've gone from a completely UNsensitive society to a completely sensitive society.

So yea, we can't say anything about other colors.

Doesn't that make YOU RACIST. B/c you're suggesting that the fact that I'm pointing out a funny observation is wrong b/c it mentions color.

When I went to Ecuador, the kids you'd think are mean b/c they distinguish eachother by simple observations like "the fat one" or the "dark one". They even called me "the gringo".

That doesn't make them evil or even bigotted, it's children we're talking about. It's all society man. B/c America has a particularly nasty past...

We're all one race; and we're all different. Shouldn't we celebrate that instead of trying to put it down like you?

B/c you can't get to the meat of a person before you get all the fear of our differences out of the way. That's why there's STILL so much racism right below the surface...

Very isiah move. Get an upgrade at talent by taking on a contract nobody wants.

Talent wise its a good trade, but chemistry its just another piece we already have.

Its McAdoo and Haywood.

Its The Human Eraser and Cartright.

Its Ray and Sugar Ray.

Its FranBury.

Its the Knicks. Starphuch when you can and sell it.

Dickau is actually a good player we can use.

Isiah thought he was getting value in Francis on the cheap and this is what he is doing again.

Randolph on the Nets makes sense, Randolph on the Lakers makes sense (trio of Randolph-Oh Dumb-B!tch Kobe) is a powerful Trio with the Zen Master and his pagan triangle!

Randolph is a talent upgrade that only money can buy.

At best isiah has trading tools. At worst isiah does not understand roster construction.

I don't believe that pineing away cap space to get Kobe or Lebron is really wise as those things rarely work out.

I was looking forward to see if Channing could take his excellent rookie season with the lessons learned in his sophemore year
and put it together again. He has upside and a nice work ethic. I like Channing even with his warm up suits. Zach Randolph is a young immature idiot whose posse must be jacked to be bringing his act to the big apple. This guy loves to party big time.

Again, lets hope its a trade tool in isiahs quest for J.O.

PF was a disaster for us last year, so this makes sense from an Xs and Os standpoint. We also improve our rebounding. Zach is very good there. what we dont improve is our defense which is horrible, but the rebounding makes a difference there.

I do think Zach wants to win. Yes.. he's a retard and an jerkoff, but if you have watched him losing pisses him off and he plays hard.

This is a typical Isiah/Knicks move, but in that context its one of the better ones. Frye paid the price for not being able to adjust to playing PF and Francis was a total waste of space
PF was a disaster for us because of how many min Malik and Frye got while Lee played only about half the game. I do agree on everything you said about Zach, though. The Knicks probably did starphuck themselves to 41 wins.

Stop exaggerating....Lee played about 30 minutes per....more than Frye who was a starter.
He played 43% of the team's total minutes at PF (in part due to injury). Over the 82 game season (which is what I assume Fish was referring to), he played less than half the time. THAT is why we got killed at PF.

bobs3304...I'm not exactly sure about what you meant by your comments, but I do think you need to think a little more about how other people willinterpret what you are saying, and how they might take it.

I'm loving this deal, fellas!

It's starting to be an intertesting summer for this team already.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

This was his best deal to date, because he actually got production without giving up draft picks, and it balances the backcourt out a little. Randolf has value, like we thought Francis did, he is still coming off major surgery and has serious personal issues. Are we going to be hard to guard yea, we are, but we can't stop anyone.

You need to really analzye the stats here. Isiah may have put together the worst defensive front court in the nba. The worst shotblocking pair in the history of the nba, if not the world

Zach 0.2 blks 3.16tos
Eddy 0.5 blks 3.64tos

Combined 0.7blks 6.8tos

Thats very troubling and when you factor in isiah loves crawford (2.75tos) Marbury (2.42tos)

Thats 11.97 to's and very little defense and another 5 tos for everyone else you looking at almost 16tos a night

This is a fair critique. Even though the Blazers were a flawed team, in concerns with Zach, the fact remains that there isnt a lot of winning pedigree that is currently on this team. Hopefully, talent will rule out.
