He has absolutely no leeway to act like he accomplshed anything here-He was FORCED to coach a basketball team the HE built because he doesn't want to!
So its not the way he acts, its because he hasnt won? I hear ya. Let me setup a hypothetical. Say for example we are playing the NJ Nets. Lets say our rookie PG, I dunno, Frank Williams, goes down trying to defend Jason Kidd and on his way up Jason Kidd gets in his face and says something that clearly upsets Frank Williams. Now lets say Tim Thomas (complete bum) gets in Jason face and tells him to take his wife beating ass back to the NJ side of the court, would you tell TT to stfu cause he hasnt won anything?

I would tell Tim Thomas to insult Kidd by scoring 40 and winning the ****ing game. Words mean nothing to me, only actions. Anyone can come up with tough words, even ****ies. You want to prove something, don't say it. Do it.

Besides, what does calling Kidd a wife-beater accomplish? It gets him mad so he can drop 30 dimes? Why give him the extra motivation?

I'll answer that for you silver, this is a Isiah Thomas agenda. ANY negative Isiah press,he's all over.

It has nothing to do with what he has done as a GM (ignoring the roster turnover in less than 3 years) it has nothing to do with him as a player (though, I could see hating him for keeping the knicks out of the championship).

It's some whacky islefat-esque Isiah Hatin'.

Even when we are winning, he'll be hatin isiah.

Let me get something straight about myself as a poster here. I like this team. I like the players we have and the NEW direction we appear to be heading here. That being said, a lot of you guys don't appear ready to let this team show what it can do. There is a ton of talent on this team. LB was given the task to take this team somewhere, but he was more interested in other things rather than getting the most out of this team. So now we have the doubters and critics (well deserved of course. This team hasn't done anything) jumping on the team all the time. The GM/Coach stands up for team and the real fans get mad at him for standing up. Can't you guys see how wrong that is???

Oh, I agree. Dropping 40 points on the Nets would be ideal but that does that mean they should be pushed and not respond if they cant score 40 points?

I don't agree with Isiah, don't call me a hater. You got to come up with some more versatile stereotypes.

Give a hard foul back and be done with it. Once again no talk, only action. They'll get the message.

I agree tapseer. I also agree that Isiah might be better off taking the high road but I am not going to fault him for responding.

but I've said this before, the hater threads are beginning to be consolodated and the titles are getting more and more openly obvious hater titles.

It's like, they sense there is something on the horizon, success, and they can't bear the thought of isiah taking any credit for the depth of the team or the bright future of our youth.

So, they ring the alarm...louder and louder and louder.

Did you see that thread about Isiah having no Class, and then had the quote completely wrong.

It's like this..

Google Isiah and Hate...oh, here is something from 20 years ago, I'm gonna post it on the knick forum because I'm sure nobody over there has even heard about this.

When I google, I google knicks.

I like that you guys have a right to keep on hatin, and you are doing us a service by consolidating the hate into a few threads.

Join the likes of fish, islesfat and others putting basketball in their threads and some pretty solid facts behind their hate.

But come on man...snap out of it. The knicks are good and they are good because the GM put together a solid deep roster.

Love it...live it. The knicks. Mine and Yours.

You know what joe, you get Greg Anthony on the floor with Isiah and I bet Zeke drops GA to the floor. Since they are past their playing days, Zeke responds using the media, just like GA.

He was not standing up for his player, he was standing up for himself. I posted my evidence.

that was objective joe. one can argue he was shielding the player by taking the insult personal.

"[Greg Anthony] had the audacity to take me to task".

Make no mistake, this is what it comes down to. Protecting one of his players has nothing to do with it. Protecting his ego has everything to do with it.

Notice it wasn't "[GA] had the audacity to question whether Balkman was a 1st round talent".

It was, "he had the audacity to take ME to task".

It was, "Greg Anthony should never, ever be in a position to question myself on anything about basketball".

It was, GA was nothing compared to me as a player so he can't judge me.

Forget about Balkman, it's just about Isiah's HUGE bruised ego.

RV, do me a favor and ignore me. I draw the line when someone who posts as little evidence as you(through no fault of your own-the facts themselves can't get themselves straight in your head and it's your opinion's fault that you can never find the right facts) to support their "opinions" calls me out.

Reading is fundamental, reading comrehension requires thinking.

So Isiah is falling on the sword while complaining about it the whole time? Does that not put more pressure on Balkman to perform to prove Isiah right?

I might just be repeating what was already said but I'll make it brief. It wasn't the message that was the problem - it was the delivery. That's all I'll say.

You fight hate with love...love for this team. This team is going to be alright, better than alright. Just don't let the haters keep you from feeling good about the team.

The hate for IT and everything he does really slapped me in the face when I saw so many posters getting on IT because he got on Greg Anthony. I mean the coach got on someone for knocking his team and the so called fans GET ON THE COACH.

If I didn't know before that IT had no love I know now.
