these are the moments we need steph...
yeah, to stop Crawford from throwing away the game for us. Those were the plays LB called, Craw screwed them up. But way to bring it back to Steph when youre boy is sucking.
look at the time i posted this...this was after crawford missed the shots and we needed steph to take over for us.
crawford's decisions cost us the game during that 3 minutes stretch. again, you make this out to be crawford vs. marbury. that has nothing to do with it, it has to do what's best for the team. like blueseats said, you can CLEARLY see NOW that steph was not going all out the last game. and tonight, marbury pretty much deferred the entire 4th quarter. he is not the pg for us b/c he does not know the flow of the game and does not know when to pass or shoot when the game is on the line. this is exactly why i keep saying that crawford should be the point (b/c imho, he's not that reliable as a pure sg) and why steph needs to play sg b/c then he doesn't have to think especially with the game on the line.
Fair enough, but if you were watching closely, it was pretty apparent that LB called those plays for Craw. Its not like it was a pick and roll, or Steph off the ball running around picks. Those plays were obviously designed for Craw to get his shot off. He brought the ball up and Craw was coming off of picks and Craw got the ball in consecutive postions. Unfortunately, he costed us the game. I like messing with you about it, but I'm not mad at him or blaming him for this loss, although he made the most egregious mistakes in the crucial moments. He needs to play more consistantly and we will win.
Come on guys, they're both boneheads, neither performed well in the clutch tonight, and neither can ever be counted on to. If I had to chose one it would be Crawford, but not by a huge margin. But then, he (JC) is not "the second most important person in the organization next to Dolan."
Truly, in Steph's 2 years here, how many quality late game moments has he had? More than a handful in, what 150+ games? Craw has been here less time, and I don't have a good memory, but i think it's been quite a few more.
lesser of two evils though. I feel like we keep coming up against teams who can execute well in the end while we can't. Every team gets chances in a close game and we constantly chuck and mis-dribble ours away while the other teams make that steal, hit convert that layup, or hit that 3.
