Here's reason no. 1 that I hate Larry Brown:

the Magic starting lineup had 80pts. The Knicks starting lineup had 20pts. This isn't a fluke either, this is a trend all season.

Start the best players. It's simple. Or at least I thought it was.

If Marbury would have shown up then we perhaps would have been closer.

There's been rumors that at least TWO Knick players have requested to be traded... No names were mentioned, but judging by the way Starbury has played as of late, he's the first one that comes to mind.

Where those rumors from?

this is typical larry brown stuff, it will all pay off once the knicks start carrying out his system well, then we'll be a very good team,

In my opinion I would start Robinson, Crawford, Ariza, Frye, and Curry.

The strong few will emerge. The rest can go.

Where those rumors from?

Someone on the MSG Boards said that they saw it on ESPN, Chris Broussard mentioned it.

I'm come to a realization that LB is not worried about wins....rather he is more concerned with developing players.

It would seem that way. get Curry into a rythm this game, win or lose. And then in the following games build off of that.

Marbury
Crawford
Ariza
Frye
Curry

That SL would have given us 72 pts tonight.

Hmmm perhaps the other one is Mo Taylor. He looks like the type to complain about lack of playing time.

Let's start with Curry and Frye. Since they're the future of the franchise and all?

Then, here's a crazy idea, how about Crawford, the guy who led us in scoring in 4 of our 7 wins and led 4th quarter charges in two other games.

Marbury obviously has to start as long as he's here, and he is a good player, he's just not going to be our leader.

SF is the problem spot, but I would stick with Ariza unless we get something better in a trade.

G - Marbury
G - Crawford
F - Ariza
F - Frye
C - Curry

I think this is pretty obvious. Even Bill Simmons, the Sports Guy, who never watches the Knicks came up with this lineup in about week 2 of the season. This is hands down our starting lineup. Only a senile old man, or someone who is trying to force a trade, would not start these five.

I would agree with Crawford, though I'd put him at the one. Then I agree with Frye. Curry too, but he's rarely available. then at SG and SF I'm not sure there is a winner. So when you consider Curry's health, that leaves at least 3 tentative spots. And of the two "sure things" in JC and Frye, neither are good defenders.

There is no quick fix or sure thing.

Mike Breen is funny... he is suggesting that Isiah starts looking to make some trades.

He said "Steph was just going through the motions... he was not here mentally"

I think it's true; Larry finally broke Marbury. They don't run any pick and rolls, or anything that fits Marbury's game. Stubburn

crawford and frye can play well in a team defense. oh wait, our team doesn't have that. Larry Brown is still trying to figure it out.

tell me, is grant hill a good defender? is steve francis? no. it's all about team defense.
