The Milwaukee Bucks are waiving Damian Lillard and stretching the remaining $113 million on his contract in order to acquire Myles Turner, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.

Turner has agreed to a four-year, $107 million deal with the Bucks, plus a player option for year four in 2028-29 and a full 15% trade kicker, sources told ESPN.

Someone gonna tell Milwaukee that you need someone to handle the ball? Is Giannis playing PG? :)

Dame won't play next year. So they able to stretch that salary for 5 or 7 years.........
So basically they can't afford to just wait on him just for one season. Let's be real, he turns 35 next week and will be 36 when he can play again. At 6-2 and perhaps was losing a step (still was a very very good player mind you) the bucks either trade Giannis and rebuild or keep this team together as they can.

Surprised Turner left Indy for the money.
Might be more surprised if Indy did not want to pay him or wanted to move on from him!

Herb Simon family famously hates the luxury tax. Indiana was going to need to trade Toppin to re-sign Turner to avoid the tax....given Haliburton gone, I think they made the decision to not pay....still seems like a reasonable deal for Turner who got a similar contract to iHart?

Can we finally beat Indiana next season without Haliburton and Turner?

Bucks stretching that amount of money is insane.

Even more insane if they didn't run this through Giannis before making a last ditch effort.

They make a move that big presumably to appease Giannis, but Giannis doesn't like it? How can that make sense?

I mean you're not trading Giannis and rebuilding around Miles Turner...

I'm with you, unless Milwaukee planning on trading Giannis for another star. Nico Harrison have a brother, or a drunk college friend trying to one-up?

And I bet Kings regret that deal.

I like Shroeder off bench on small deal but wonder if he will wear out his welcome on larger 3 year deal - TBD I guess.

He's gone. I doubt they make a big trade that satisfies him when there are so many better options out there.

With Lillard gone they should be thinking of trading Giannis for a boatload of unprotected picks.

They have a legit playmaker now. They're also shedding salary. People were skeptical when Perry signed Randle as his first big FA. NY ended up being the perfect spot for Randle to have a second act in his career. Maybe the same will happen to Schroeder, although Im not expecting the same leap in production.

Perry thinks long term, so I will be interested in seeing how this signing fits in with the plan/philosophy.

Turner is the Bropez-style clone they need to cover up Giannis' weaknesses.

You know I gonna spin wit it
