Louisville Fired Kenny Payne after just two seasons.
Good dude who his a hell of a developmental coach but was 12-52 with bad losses to some low Div one team and a Div. 2!
He had Milt Wagner on his staff and still lost recruiting of Stud DJ Wagner to Calipari. Milts Grandson!
I got this from ATHLETIC article that also spells out the half empty downtown prostyle arena there and the economic impact the floundering program has.
No doubt NIL, post pandemic and transfer portal issues were a problem but.
His firing without cause still nets the 57 year old an 8mm buy out.
He is not associate head coach material as he was found lacking in X's and O's but this is a good dude if there is an opening.
