epic choke job by the Magic...damn, that was brutal to watch. Horrible mental lapses.

And Dwight Howard definitely channeled Nick Anderson on the free throw line. Make one and we are talking 2-2.

Between Courtney lee and Dwight, these magic are definitely trying to let Anderson off the hook as being an infamous, magic goat. Magic should conceivably be up 3-1

And yes, howard’s dribbling in the post is abominable! He’s a turnover machine. Guy would have had double his points if he just went up with the ball.

kobe is one tough championship-level dude. i give it up to him this series.

gasol showed something too. he played like he does in the worlds rather than how he played in last year’s finals.

reezy was fantastic. Lewis was a total no-show. bynum has been garbage the whole series.

but when i watch hedo i think - there's gallo. i really think gallo's gonna give us everything that hedo showed last night.

i have to say i don't get hailing kobe as god right now.

the all-kobe all the time offense was one of the reasons the lakers struggled down the stretch and almost cost his team the game

he missed or forced quite a few shots down the stretch. if the magic hit some free throws, or not have such huge mental lapses they win this game. he was given so many opportunities.

i'm not saying kobe isn't a great player, but the magic gift wrapped this series for the lakers. other than game 1 the lakers and especially kobe have not shown that they are all that great. they are winning, can't deny that, but not in a way that makes me go ga ga over kobe.

in games 2 and 4 you can very easily see the magic deserving to win.

this isn't the same as dallas-miami a few years ago (although some of the way game 2 was called you can make that argument), but with the talent the lakers have they have only impressed me in game 1.

again, yes, you have to win the games, but this is not a particularly impressive example of kobe's greatness, and to me why for years without the level of talent he enjoys now, his teams never went far.

hence why i still prefer lebron james. with far less talented teams he has gotten to the finals once, and to the conference finals multiple times. and even during the reg season wins 60+ games, which can contradict a little the idea that "Well, that's because lebron is in the east."

i know some that think Magic is better than Jordan.

and why does being a "closer" necessarily make one better than the other?

what about his shot in the previous series? how come his teams have done better with less talent than kobe, and with an allegedly far worse coach?

it is all a matter of opinion, and i can see both arguments, but i just think kobe forces the issue too much, even still.

put lebron in kobe's place, and i'd be willing to bet the lakers do better, but switch kobe to the cavs and i doubt the same applies.

this is my personal view.
