Crazy enough, I still think we win this series. It's too hard for the Hawks to score outside of McCollum hero-ball. At 34 years old, I wouldn't be surprised if those legs start getting heavy and he flames-out. Outside of him, the Hawks have nothing in the half-court, which swings the series in our favor. These games have been close and won on the margins. McCollum at a fraction of what he is offers the Hawks no room for error.

McCollum eats a live rabbit for breakfast and sniffs puff mushrooms in the tunnel before running out for game time introductions.

I once saw CJ McCollum dribble through a field of grizzly bears to dunk on a nest of bald eagles.

Then he turned around and dribbled back through the field of grizzly bears and raw dogged every woman in red on the first page of this thread.

Scarlett Johanssen was screaming at Anne Hathaway to hurry TF up because she needed her daily dose of Vitamin CJ.

And you think he will get tired?

I’ve said this early in the season. Deuce needs to start. JB uses so much energy on defense, it kills his offensive touch and he still gets done on defense. At least deuce can guard most PGs and allow JB to hide on a scrub. Hart should be benched. Most will say Mikal but deuce for hart gives us two things instantly:

1. 5 and out starting group. 5 players who you have to guard. All 5 can shoot. With hart that’s an easy double team on JB
2. On defense Deuce is our best PG defender. You hide JB on the next non shooter or lower offensive impact player.

Hart off the bench can be that lead guard giving you all all around play on both ends and dominate that second unit. We need Mikals 2way play more than harts 1 way play.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

And how does Brown keep playing Jose as the backup PG when he is just a cnt hair north of useless?

Sir, I need you to Google "bukkake" again before committing to this comment. That's a sticky situation to be in lol

Upside of this loss is seeing Taylor Rooks' sexy ass jumping up and down with excitement as a Hawks fan. I'd drink that woman's bath water.

Great guy but wow. Thibs is somewhere doing pushups right now.

NO KAT NO RINGS

If JB don’t pass, NO BLING

It's already over for Brown. He's toast.

Brunson's reputation will be under major reevaluation this off-season if he keeps this up.

You can't build a championship team around a short defensive liability that doesn't make his teammates better as your # 1 player.

I doubt Brunson will ever change his game enough to matter.

Unless Brunson has an awakening on the road to Damascus and becomes a team-oriented PG the Knicks are never sniffing a ring as long as he is the Knicks PG.

You read it here first.

I used to have some hope on Bridges, but the guy is finished, he has nothing, i kept waiting for him to come back to be a star, but he kept his stupid hand shakes without any feeling of responsibility.

After a whole season. He looks lost but trying to pull his best car salesman face in order to not look like he’s drowning.

I’m done with him, fully believe he isn’t the one to take us anywhere, but I’m sure management will keep him because of the contract. This will be like an Aaron Boone situation with the Yankees. No rings.

Do we have a Mike Brown problem or a roster problem or both 🤔

Both and add a mental problem.

At this point I’m so discouraged I’d just restart.

Bridges trade is honestly the worst trade ever.

Brown is toast. This decision is blowing up at the worst moment. I’ve never been fully on board with such an abrupt decision vision to fire a coach after one year, but this guy is a buffoon that has never and will never win this mentally-challenged team over.

Brunson’s reputation is crumbling at a terrible time and the Brunson mafia is losing points in the popularity contest. Brunson, after Randle, really brought us back, but his inability to play with KAT says more about him than about KAT. The fact that he is also the main reason we made the worst trade ever in bringing loser Bridges hurts his case. I love Hart, but I’m almost done with this iteration of the Knicks. I’d rather root for a talent-challenged crew that works hard and gives it all every time than this bunch of talented but clueless bunch.

This team is too easy to hate. They are my team and have been for years. They will remain like that because I’m a fan and we’ve gone through worse, of course, but I can’t help but hate this crew. There is a really rotten mentality here and I’m really souring up quickly on Brunson. It’s just impossible for a guy so talented and so smart as him to now work effectively with KAT and even have such an underwhelming impact on Bridges. Mikal is not even a shadow of his former self. One thing is to sacrifice for the team, but the guy doesn’t even bring constantly his trademark defense.

This team is a disaster and even if they somehow pull this series out, they will be doing what they always do: underachieve until winning one and either in round two or round three run out of steam because they are a freaking nut job of a team.

I’ll keep rooting for the orange and blue, but this team doesn’t represent NY. I hate this iteration.

I agree. Hart did a great job on CJ. I am kind of dumbfounded that on atlantas last possession brown went small because that put hart on Johnson IIRC.

Knicks need to smarten up starting w brown and Jalen. KAT needs to touch the ball and so too bridges. They had KAT in the corner on some possessions very late — in the corner!

We need bridges too and can’t expect much from him when he’s lucky if he touches the ball twice a quarter

McBride has been mostly ineffective this series other than a short period where he hit some shots. CJ is scoring at will over him. I think we need Hart to cover CJ. He did a great job on him

Brunson's stock is falling. He's is becoming a TM ( Turnover Machine ) in critical situations. It might be time to reset next year. I would stick with OG and Kat and build from there. And yes a new HC.

We could easily be up 3-0. I don’t look at this series and say how do we beat these guys. We know how to beat them and we do beat them if we execute. Seriously eliminate a careless turnover or two, or 1 more rebound and it’s 3-0

That said, if we played smarter and moved the ball these games wouldn’t be close

The crazy thing is that we couldn’t easily, we SHOULD be. And this is nothing against Atlanta, which is a good team doing their best to win. But this is all about the Knicks not coming together as a team during the season, players playing against a system that proved many times that it works and a coach that definitely has no control over what the players do.

This is truly and remarkably embarrassing. This team has so much talent. They are underachieving beyond belief. Only a team with huge mental issues accomplishes this the way we have.

Brutal loss, after that Brunson 3 point play I thought for sure we had it. Reminded me of those come backs on the road vs BOS last year. We were lucky to even be in that position, OG hitting two wild 3's saved us.

KAT came up with some HUGE defensive plays and was a team best +22... those two things were NOT on my bingo card, so kudos to him. because despite us losing these last 2 games, if KAT plays like this we can still come out of the east.

Still think we win this series and win the next 3, because if we don't, we are going to be facing a game 7.

Mikal... can't even point to defense in this game, probably his worst game as a pro. Disappointing. And I think Kolek still needs to get some run.

Ultimately we didnt shoot well enough 43/29% isn't going to win on the road unless your defense makes up for it.

Playoff margins are so tight. Over the years we won many series by the skin of our teeth, stealing games we had deep deficits in the 2nd half / 4th. Winnings close games because Brunson was unflappable in those moments. Brunson is a notch below his peak now and as shaky as we’ve seen him in tight moments. At his size it’s just not as easy to get his shot whenever he wants as it is for bigger guards and wings.

Losing game 1 vs Indiana was kind of like a death sentence. You can’t lose a game you thoroughly outplay the opponent in a tight series. Last night was a game we could’ve broke even in that regard and steal a game we had no business winning to counter game 2. It’s hard to lose two games back to back by 1 point and still win a series. We win the next one and it’s a new series. But not looking good here. And Brown is getting totally outclassed. With Billy Donovan and Kerr on the market it’s hard to see Brown surviving this offseason regardless of outcome.

Putting McBride on McCollum was such an awful decision for that last play. McBride is 6’1. He had no chance to contest that shot at the level it needed to be contested. We knew the ball was going to CJ. Put McBride on NAW in the corner.

Brunson has been one of the best closers in Knick history and this series he simply hasn't.

agreed. at least we finally got Brunson off CJ for alot of this game, that took way too long. But CJ even made the "too small" gesture earlier when he easily shot over Deuce.

We need to keep hart on CJ. CJ can shoot but he’s slow enough for hart. CJ has been shooting over Jalen and McBride consistently.

I am not as down on Mikal as many here. He needs to touch the ball more. This doesn’t mean he needs to shoot a lot but he like everyone else needs to be in some form of rhythm and not merely watch Brunson

Mikal has come up big in big games. We need that
