That trade was never going to happen. Danny Ainge hates the Knicks more than his mother in law ! Ainge was just driving up the price talking to us. Leon figured it out after the trade parameters kept changing. Glad we didn't make that trade. Wasn't a fan of giving up the fan for a one way player.

And they got a great package from Cleveland. Lauri broke out as a star in Utah. Even though it wasn’t expected. I thought they should have moved him a couple of years ago, as they could have received a Mitchell-like package for him also at his peak value.

THree years ago he was on a webcast and I thought his reasons were compelling. The pretty girl taking the opposite view was not very convincing.

I really have no love for him nor understood his acting cred but his take was very much like many of us that did not like Dolan and thought he was in the wrong about Oak. He had his tickets recended because of it which is Dolans right if he is being given the tickets complimentary.
Rap was like "Dolan treats the fans like **** and my other celebs won't say it to risk losing the tix". I kind of respect that. He explained if invited to Net game courtside and given a jersey he will be a fan. He a giant fan but invited to a jet game on the side line he will wear a jersey. He says "Some fans are either one or the other, but I still love the Knicks but got my tix taken". Of course he could pay for them?
He makes some good points actually. He says he will always root for them. Always. I found it interesting.

I have defended Dolan as much as being critical. Somtimes he made what I though was good decisons that were well intended but were a disaster. LIke Hiring Phil. Good idea, bad execution! Hired Isiah: Bad idea, bad execution. Extend his deal when Anucha thing was a thing was really bad. Putting him in charge of the LIberty after all that? LIke WTF???? I was rumored the league had to step in and insist he hire Donnie Walsh whom Dolan likley hated becuase of it. Countless things over many years.
But....he is overly loyal and eventually got us here.

BTW, I think Oak is just as agregious if not more than Dolan regarding his beef. I loved oak the player. I love. that he is a benevelant kind of dude, but his public grips with knicks and Dolan were not self serving. It was personal and he made i public.

Im ok dolan evolving if he has. Not alot of stories about him being a dick about things as in the past. Same for Oak. I don't knwo more than anyone but for a compromise both have to meet somewhere in the middle. Perhaps both are holding the gruge and not ready to move on?
