Brown is a players coach. That's why he's here. I think the most pressure on this season is on Brunson who has to lead and facilitate more than ever. The other guy is KAT.

Again we just went to the conference finals and got there with a healthy roster so not sure what the new guy's MO is going be (aside from that)

I always thought it was weird that he went on to be an assistant coach in Brooklyn and not here. That said, welcome home!

Question on etiquette. Knicks interviewed Micah Nori and James Borrego for head coach positions. Both are the “Associate head coaches”. Now they are interviewing Prigs for Associate Head coach. Could they also interview Jarrod Collins (NOP) for the associate head coach position? Is it possible to get both? Was there gamesmanship to the requests for interview order? Would want a solid defensive coach to go with Brown and Prigs. Collins fits that bill. How much promotion does it need to be?

Would love to see Prigioni on the staff. Smart player, has been coaching on good teams. Has European and American game perspectives. Could be an excellent add.

Nori took over when Fitch blew out his heel in the 2024 playoffs and could not sit courtside. Seemingly he was lead assistant then. If Knicks are to hire Pablo as Lead assistnat they can poach him.
He has been there 6 years and due for a promotion.

Curious how long Darren Erman stays. He has been an assistant now for some time and with GLeague head coach experience. This guy gave up a career as a lawyer to chase his passion. https://nbacoaches.com/darren-erman/

I know Terry Stotts has been mentmioned as he is currently lead assistant to Kerr in GSW. Im suprised Kerr has stayed on as long has he has. Stotts would need permission as its a lateral job.

Knicks seem hell bent on getting someone to help unlock KAT's potential and bring someone he is close with? Seems solid move.
Leon and Mike Brown are sharp dudes. I think they got this.

GSW denied permission on Stotts so he won't be the guy.

Prigioni seems like it could happen for raise in salary and the title and it would be a pretty good hire. His resume as a coach reads solidly and given his time with the Knicks he will be greeted warmly by fans who generally appreciated his style of play/effort.

My understanding is all the Knicks assistants are still active employees. Basically the Knicks let go of Thibs and kept his whole staff. Unless we hear otherwise it seems all of them will be on Brown's staff. Kind of an interesting thing...

I think Brown will be fine only way next season would get derailed would be injuries. Was a big Pablo fan when he was a player here. Guy had zero athleticism but he hustled and could shoot. Can definitely see him becoming a good coach.
