We're getting better winning these close games which is a great sign. Randle and Brunson both hit clutch shots and most importantly hit their FT's. Randle hit a big three and Brunson had like three clutch shots in the last 5 minutes including an And1. Great job by Sims filling in for Hartenstein who took the night off with foul trouble. Sims WILL win the Slam Dunk Contest. GUARANTEED! Refs were awful in this game btw. Great game off the bench by IQ too. Crossing my fingers he is not included in a trade but if I was an opposing team I'd be asking for him.

Another mixed bag game by RJ. Started off horribly but made some key shots in the second half. His defense continues to be an issue. That play where he completely lost Wagner on an inbound pass in inexcusable! RJ is a good kid and a hard worker and there is every reason to believe he will work hard to improve but right now he's become frustrating to watch with the missed open threes, missed layup's and awful defense.

Not a good last game by Obi as a Knick. I expect him traded tomorrow.

Kudos to Orlando. Banchero is talented and they have a bunch of nice young players. Very impressed with Fultz. He looked like a mini Westbrook. Super athletic and talented! Love the Wagner brothers too. Nice likeable team. Too bad their arena was 90% Knicks fans but it's always been like that.

Uh, huh. What about the other young teams in the league who are also improving? How much growth do you realistically see Hart, Simms, Mitch and RJ making? I said realistically, not some RJ is the next Kobe nonsense. Julius is 28. How much better is he going to get after this season? Some slight improvements. Same for JB. This team isn't going to be more than mid for the next few years There's a small window where Philadelphia and Milwaukee deckines. That's it. This is a middle of the pack team and more moves need to be made.
Show me these advanced statistics. In this case, I'm forgoing statics. I'm just going to go with an old Bill Parcels quote. "You are what you're record says you are."

Vegas odds had the over under at 38.5 wins. You look at most preseason projections, most pundits had us pencilled in at the play-in. Grimes projects as a good starter. Not enough to carry this team past mid unless he reaches the highest levels of his season. IQ projects as a quality starter sixth-man. Let's say they keep him and he does reach his highest potential. Still doesn't change the standings much without a whole lot of help. I didn't say all of our players have maxed out it's potential. I said the team, as it currently stands is mid and will need a whole lot of talent to break out of that holding pattern.

That is an entirely different statement than "the Knicks are playing at their highest possible ceiling".

No one will disagree with the Knicks needing to add players to get to another level, meaning like top 4 and contender.

We have room, 3 point shooting. Brunson, Grimes IQ and McBride can all become consistent 3 point shooters. When that happens we are going to be a much better team. I strongly believe they are all almost there.

Nothing. I know people who've driven 2-3X that distance multiple times in a summer for a Gov't Mile show. You just a need a little something to get you in the right mood.
