Look at the spacing. Look at the G being able to run the offense at the top of the key. Obi didn't need to demand touches from the PF position. He was comfortable as a finisher.

I know teams can crowd the lanes when Payton or DSJR are the pg because there not a threat to score beyond 5 feet . And everyone has a hard time getting open. In my opinion quick gives us the best chance of winning of the PGs

this understates things. this is just changing the % for FT actually taken

with increased confidence in his FT% he will be more likely to drive and draw contact

for all of the advanced analytics on 3pt% drawing and shooting fouls is the most efficient. it also has the advantage of softening the D as key players get in trouble (and don't want to foul out) making late in game opportunities more efficient. Hubie Brown loved FTs. And then if you're into analytics, driving and collapsing the opponent's D actually helps your own defense against quick transitions, providing better floor balance and positioning. Missed 3 pointers can lead to long rebounds and quick transitions for the opponent with no rim protector in front of them

I'm just saying if RJ keeps his FT% up and transforms to a guy with let's say 6+ FT a game, it will be huge. all kinds of things will improve

look at a lot of the great teams and you'll often see one guy who spends a lot of time at the stripe

Vets? They are only 4 years older than Obi. Not even half through their NBA careers yet.

We already know what Payton is. Decent passer who cannot defend or shoot from 3. He shouldn’t even be in the rotation let alone starting. I don’t understand the fascination this franchise has with him he’s probably an Isiah signing

We also know what Randle is which is Zach Randolph
