why, because he didn't say he's building through the draft from the ground up like mills and phil have done..asked yourself where has that gotten us.

I'm reminded of how Isiah described his effort to change the engine of the airplane while in mid flight. There was no patience expressed at the process. NY deserves a winner is code for you can't rebuild in NY. So if we have to trade RJ Barret and Robinson for Chris Paul, that sounds about right!

There is no proven method. It all comes down to capitalizing on value and circumstance. Phil signing Noah wasn't the problem. Phils signing Noah to a 4 yr deal was the problem. If Noah was had for s a 1-2 yr deal then noone would really have a problem with that shot in the dark attempt at playoffs. If they look to starphuck, then judgement will come based on value and circumstance. Trading 2 first round picks for Chris Paul in order to just have someone to start off with would be terrible value, and doesn't fit the circumstances. Neither would trading 3-4 picks for Booker or something. Then contining to sell off assets to attempt to make the starphuck work.

The best thing that could happen is us hitting on this yrs draft pick along with Barrett, Mitch & any one of the other young prospects taking large steps. Then utilzing some of the assets we have to bring it together with a proven stud. With assets still left over to fall back on still. And if they really wanted to play high level chess. They would also look to continue to flip some of these picks for multiple future picks hoping to catch someone slipping and net a lotto pick out of it.

I liked Kellerman more on whatever the hell that show is where the reporters debate. On his show with Steven A he tries too hard to make controversial statements and it comes across that way. Skip actually believed what he said. Kellerman comes across as the guy they told to act like Skip to me.

Bottom line is the Knicks are screwed if they do and screwed if they don't. He will hire a GM. What if he hires a Kenny Smith, or a JVG, or a Presti even as his GM? He has to hire a general manager. You will probably never hear Rose's name again.

Dolan wants a star in NY and when he fired phil and gave the ship to MILLS and Perry, he was under the belief that those 2 would attract stars base on their relationships.

Stars didn't come because the knicks prioritize tanking which is the main reason Melo and KP wanted out

You will be hard press to bring in another President that is going to do the same thing as mills and phil just did.

KP left because he was a bitch. The plan was to lose get a high draft pick AND sign a guy to play with KP. It is funny all these guys wanted to play with KP in NY, but how many are now saying they want to play with him in Dallas?

Here it is. I as wrong. I was never in the camp that you can't do a normal rebuild in NY. I thought it was possible. It isn't. And it isn't because of the fans that know basketball. It is because of these dumbass fans that follow the lead of the media like sheep.

I listened to Humpty and Canty and Rothenberg RAIL the Knicks for hours because of hiring Rose and not getting Masai. Forget it would have cost picks. On a rebuilding team. Hahn tried to educate them by calling in and they still stuck to their guns(Dipietro backed off hard after Hahn called in). The media stokes the perspective of how these things are viewed and people buy into it.

I dont think the media or some casual fans will ever be patient enough to endure a rebuild or focused enough to see a plan through and realize right now just being competitive is a win for this team.

Not my ideal plan, but this team needs to shortcut it's way to that first piece through trade or FA. It also needs to remove any question marks it can. This includes coach, GM, president. Every team has a president and there are very few that are heard from. Who is the president of the Spurs? Clippers? Bucks? Thunder? ESPN has a list of the GM's and presidents from 2017. You have to google it, I cant post the link now. You would be surprised how some of the better GMs have a president you barely know.
