Good win. Still very early. Great to see DSJ play real well and Dotson. Mitch and Frank both had foul trouble but came up big when needed. Morris I admit I don’t like his ISO play but there is no question he has been our big gun in crunch time. Fiz ironically had his two best games against Dallas but I still need to seen him start implementing more plays especially for his guards

Is this another way of saying Randle needs less touches?

Absolutely Or at least he needs to start using his passing ability which is actually pretty good

Happy with that.

Can this team be motivated enough against other teams?

Damn Right. When you force your way out of somewhere you deserve the wrath of fans who put faith and support in you. Once again we saw KP disappear(get tired) in crunch time.

Offense-Defense....I'm sure Frank will come back in for defensive purposes after the time out

Agree, csnt say Frsnk isnt getting meaningful minutes in the 4th.

Right...Fiz coaching a good game tonite

Yeah kudos to fiz very well coached .... keep it up!

DSJR and Mitch played great off the bench just the kind of game DSJR needed to build some confidence.

Frank was a beast on defense in crunch time and hit two big FTs....

Overall a solid team game.

Morris with the ICE

Oh yeah and KP SUCKS .... A S S HOle

I actually thought Fizdale were gonna spend a lot of time in the off-season and training camp pairing Frank & DSJ as a dynamic tandem to compete together on both sides of the court.

I agree too .. every time Randle bring up the ball I get flash backs of loss headed our way.
And Randle has never been a good passer or dribbler, grabbing offensive-rebound and scoring on broken plays were Randle's handle.

He threw 2 balls DIRECTLY out of bounds last night.

I noticed when Smith is in, Smith handles the ball. Randle less so.

If that is Frank deferring (likely) then he MUST STOP and take the ball out of Randle's hands. If that is coaching then FIZ needs to change it.

what a great game. Its not rocket science. When we get good guard play we are a good team. Not great but good enough to hang. Problem is our PGs are talented kids who are inconsistent and still finding their NBA way. Frank's foul trouble was a problem but he still had an impact on defense. Smith looked like a lottery pic and not a YMCA player with a balky back (although he was limping by the game's end). Guards play well and everything looks better.

Did you know... that Dotson is the fastest Knick on the roster? Nice to see him get burn. Nice to see the effort and the defense. I hope for everything this group can rally around this coach and these young PGs and get on a run.

Randle does not take the ball up every time. When he does its important to see it half full or half empty. This is a player being thrust into a major role. Prime time is not an overnight event. When he draws the double, when he passes out, when he breaks down the defense.......Its pretty. When he over does it and makes mistakes, its ugly. Look for progress. Morris can be infuriating as well at times. He too is playing a major role he has not been doing before. These are our closers for now.
I was cringing last night like most of you but low and behold Frank made game changing defense moves and was clutch at the line. He had a three that would have sealed the game earlier. But I'll take what he gave us. In my perfect world Dennis and Frank are back court, RJ at the wing, and Randle/Mitch down low. I like Knox but don't know if he is a three or a stretch 4 in the future. He is 20, Im ok with not knowing. In my perfect world the future has issues of "Who is better" regarding the roster. I hope we draft a franchise player and continue to load up on potential. At some point potential becomes talent.

Long way to go, but the team rose to the occasion and swept the evil KP. Speaking of which, his putback dunk was awesome!!!! His low post game is still not there. He is bigger for sure and will score. Until he can play with his back to the basket he will be limited in crunch time.
