Wow. That is awesome.

completely random...I've been lucky to run into Nate the Gr8 in ATL as I was leaving Target. He was gracious with the selfie too. I was a big fan of his when he played for the Knicks. and then a couple of years ago Travis Best at ATL airport on the airport train of all places standing next to me. Dude still looks exactly the same as from his playing days....probably could still play.

Hopefully run-ins with KP, Frank and Knox are next! yes fanboy here lol. I do frequent a couple of restaurants where all the famous NBA players in the last 30 years go to eat. No run-ins there yet though. Several photos on the walls with restaurant staff...thats how I could tell.

People who fawn over bullying, alcoholic a-holes like Oakley well into their adulthood have problems. He just got arrested for trying to cheat at a casino. Who even does that?

I'm not referring to you OP. I'm just mentioning it since you recounted your run-in. That guy is a complete scumbag in real life. "He better know"? LOL. Ron Artest is like 10 years younger and would beat the brakes off him. He picks on security guards for no reason, randomly talks **** to Charles Barkley like a psycho, threatens people, etc. Granted, Dolan and him deserve each other.

That said, if he walked in, I'd either A.) Ignore him while staring at him so "he better know" OR B.) Talk to him and ask him why he's always disrespecting Barkley and others. I would definitely NOT want a picture with that psychotic nutter.

His act was cool when it was on the court and we were young, but you grow up and you realize it's unacceptable behavior, and that he's in serious need of anti-psychotics and an ass-whoopin.

So because Dolan didn't offer ewing a job (He did as head coach of the Gleague team) you take Oak's side?
Did any other NBA team hire or seriously consider him as a head coach?
If Ewing proved his chops at the Gleague level might have opened up an opportunity for him.
Just because he was a knick great does not make him a viable coach. There was no relationship with him and Phil either.
While neither did Hornachek he did prove himself in PHX.
Lets not forget Ewing wanted out. He burned some bridges in the process.
Oak not just burns them then he blows them up for good measure!

Could be Russell's breakout season. Had some maturity issues, on and off the court, but Im guessing he's going to turn the corner this season.

Yahoo is saying that Towns is telling Thibs to pick between him and Butler, thats why he hasnt signed an extention.

Butler can become an unrestricted free agent next summer, and if he doesn’t sign an extension by 6 p.m. Eastern on Oct. 15, Towns will be a restricted free agent next summer. So, there’s little risk of losing Towns soon. But if letting Butler leave is required to keep Towns long-term, it’d be better to trade Butler now rather than letting him walk for nothing next offseason.

Im guessing the Lakers would be interested, although Im not sure what would make a deal work.

Yeah, the Laker could give expiring contracts and a pick. Which makes sense for the wolves, then they could still add to the team in FA and get a picks for Butler, if towns waits to sign his contract.

Also, I could see the Wolves asking for Kuzma and the Lakers maybe agreeing to it.
