So 1st day on the job and Magic snags a 1st rd pick from the Rockets. From Phil we get that he isn't concerned about the return, he just wants the player we traded for and gave up our starting center to get gone? Oh wait, it did clear a starting roster spot for his big FA signing Noah. Yup, it's all good. Our fresking coach wasn't even allowed to select his own assistants and our president tells him how to run the offense. What a train wreck we are. The model of franchise stability.

Reggie Jackson is the best player in this trade... as is the trade is even. If the Knicks get a 1st round pick on top of getting the best player in the deal, some one is smoking Crack.

Reggie Jackson used to be good last season but this season he has been awful chemistry wise (team mates fed up of his selfish ways) and physically (not the same player since his knee tendinitis. He only cares about himself and being a big star, not so much about winning. I'd hate to end up with him

Magic had lou Williams to offer. Hornacek did get to choose his own assistants so why lie about it? Woj claims Phil doesn't want much for rose- why would Phil leak that? He wouldn't, it's coming from a team that wants rose to try and drive down the price.

I think Wojo has an ax to grind with Phil. He is very critical, i.e. Nuggets are doing everything to build around Jokic, the Knicks haven't figured that out with Porzingis, everything they did last summer went against developing Porzingis etc.. But, Hornacek didn't choose Rambis. He certainly didn't ask for Rambis to be his associate head coach or to run the defense on his team. He didn't ask for that. Rambis was horrible last year and the players didn't care for him. To force him onto Jeff's staff was a mistake. To push the triangle in today's nba is imbecilic especially if you don't have the personnel to do it. Phil could still have Rambis getting a check from the Knicks in a different position.

Hornacek was given a a choice as to whether he kept Rambis (Phil recommended he did) - he could have stepped up and said no, but I get the impression Hornacek struggles to do that sort of thing
