Yeah...you can't yank out players after being out there for 2, 3 minutes. You have to give them extended runs to really assess their play. He's been doing that with KOQ and Seraphin all season. They can't get a rhythm.

He did the same with Williams

Uh, DWill played almost 11minutes in a row in the first half.

newyork is actually very objective when it comes to fisher. He has admitted fisher is very inexperieced. Nix is another story

You are saying that objective boy is willing to admitthat Phil Jackson made a mistake by hiring a rookie coach in the same season that Melo was given a mammoth contract?

i think most agree fisher needed time as a assistant first. I wanted somebody with experience/track record

so a big mistake by phil then considering the $125 mill contract to melo?

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

IMO neither guy has given us what we need so it's a moot point who's better. Both have been shaky. KOQ needs to lock back in as a ball mover and hustle guy.

Where did the KOQ that we had for the first couple of weeks of the season go?? I know the Fisher haters will find a way to blame it on Fish but he just started stinking it up so bad and that is when Fisher started taking his minutes away like a coach should do.

Only in NY Jose could play as a starting PG. I SAID IT BEFORE AND WILL SAY IT AGAIN, JOSE IS BETTER SUITED TO PLAY THE BACKUP SG SPOT. He needs to play the Ray Allen/Hamilton role

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Agreed. As long as he shoots every time he is open and is aggressive. If not, he's useless.

Yeah that sucks i was really hoping he'd follow that performance up with another good game. The 2 quick fouls might of had a lot to do with it.

Yes - and then DWill learned what Fisher wanted and to limit some mistakes and DWill started playing better and getting consistent minutes. Pretty good coaching, huh

I was speaking in general, not just about tonight. I've noticed the pattern all season. KOQ makes one mistake; Fish takes him out. He's been in his Dog House many times. I think it has had an affect on his confidence. He was good in the beginning of the season when he was getting consistent minutes. He's actually a really good passer as a big which we need for the triangle and has an offensive game (able to shoot from the outside). He's also a plus rebounder per minute. He just struggles with his shot under the basket against bigger players. But he is useful if you give him consistent minutes.

He starting playing terrible first, then started losing minutes. Same with Seraphin.

Robin Lopez got his minutes yanked around earlier in the season. Then he started playing better. Why is he immune to Fisher's dastardly confidence game that has ruined KOQ and Seraphin?

I'm beyond caring or figuring out the rotations. I want some better smarter basketball offense. We didn't get it. A game like last night should teach a team that they have to come out and exploit those same things tonight. Instead other than early in the 2nd Q, we ran the same offense of the 1st half of last night. Trying to get guys coming in motion of the Triangle, which led to little open shots. The best work/results were when they went to work on the weakside using 2 man games. Last night Melo used this plenty, and tonight other than Grant for a few minutes, we've not seen it be utilized.

Either way against a good Memphis team we likely lose without Melo (heck probably lose with Melo) but they should be running the offense much better considering it's the 53rd game of the season now. I know a week ago I mentioned that Phil ought to be pissed, and I think he is. There's no way he can be happy with the way this team has "progressed" on offense. They do not run the Triangle very well and they do not exploit mismatches well. That's a good coach vs a bad coach. A good coach can get you do those things. I don't think Fisher is safe this offseason if they do not win 15 more games this year.

Watch a Popovich game sometime. You coach in practice. You try to win when the lights are on.

He lost his playing time in the beginning or the year because he was playing so badly. Fisher didn't just stop playing him while he was playing good cause i remember talking about it on the board. To think that Fisher just stopped playing a player that was playing good is a ridiculous thing to say and untrue. KOQ hasn't been good at all except for like the first two weeks of the season maybe three.
