KNicks had a 1 point lead at 11:26 of the 4th and were behind of tied in the 4th from 7:22 to 4:18 and again at 2:44.

They didn't hold onto the lead in the 4th. They won the game in the 4th.

Melo went down in the 2nd quarter...

Right, and they lost the lead the had built early in the 4th.

They won the game in the 4th, they just didn't outlast the Celtics chipping into the lead.

let me clarify...They held on to win the game primarily because of their momentum in the first half.

So they lost enough momentum to lose their entire lead and go down by 3 in the fourth, but had enough momentum to regain the lead and win by 6?

That sort of defies what momentum is when you let the other team take a 3 pt lead on you, but okay.

Just slowed down a bit from the momentum in the first half and then picked up a bit.

I'm lost. The game was essentially tied 11 minutes into the 4th and the they were down 3 in the middle of the quarter.

They didn't win the game by holding onto the lead. They lost the lead and then won the game coming from behind.

1) his contract is garbage
2) we would be better off just parting ways
3) he's going to ruin this environment for any high pick/prospect we bring in

OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Good to see you now crying about dragging down the community. Hypocrisy at its finest. Glad to see you are enjoying the Knicks again, and that last sentence was not sarcastic at all... I honestly am, because few people's words were more miserable to read about here than yours. You rubbed our noses in it at every opportunity.

Sorry guys... eat crow.

Oh.. and go Knicks.

His contract is still garbage and will be worse if he gets injured and misses significant time. Again it's year 13 for Melo at $25mil per. Melo gets injured we go back to wining under 30 games aka the H20, Dice, Curry & Amare years. Cap hell and nothing we can do but let the players contract expire. Now I hope that doesn't happen especially with the way Melo has been playing and the chemistry with KP being near the top of his recent success. But if he does get injured don't worry I will remember to return the favor and rub it in your face from time to time

yea? Melo isnt a max player? You have rubbed my face in it for two years. I am comfortable with my opinions and views on the subject.

As for rubbing it in my face in the future... Guys get hurt. It doesnt make you stupid for drafting Greg Oden. It just makes you unlucky.

Come on Fish I rubbed it in your face? So every time we argue about the team and the players and you disagree I'm rubbing it in your face?

You know nothing about me. You are not in any way shape or form qualified to answer for me. Thanks. Perhaps stick to making non-points and then saying "thats not what I meant." Feel free to place me on ignore.

Here comes the part where you say "relax" and play it like you are cool and everyone else should be as cool as you. I am as relaxed as it gets. I just have no interest in your drivel or your passive aggressive prattling on the subject.

Relax fish! No one's hating on Melo. So what if all the things we've been saying about Melo through the years are true. SO what!!

As long as he's playing the right way this season finally is all that matters. (until that changes)

Fish explained the issue quite clearly. Lack of reading comprehension doesn't change he is right.

Another useless post by small baseketballs

No amount of self-denial will change the facts of how wrong you've been the last few months.

The world you imagine in your head doesn't extend to anyone else, FYI.

depends on what you call coming from behind...
when i play sports..if i am up 35-20 in a first to 50 pts game and then down 45-47 and finally win 50-49, i wouldn't exactly call it a "come from behind" victory. you probably define it as the moment you are down 1, it's a come from behind, comeback etc victory.

How can anyone be surprise at the play of melo after witnessing the transformation of MJ amd Kobe who were the biggest ball hogs in the history of the NBA, prior to phil.

Amare was healthy for the first two months after the trade in 2011. He was never healthy again during his knick career.

Even when Amare was healthy, Melo never really dished it to Amare the way he looks to setup KP. Like he actively sets picks for KP with vigor and overpasses in some cases to get KP involved. Never did this with Amare.

Even as a Knicks fan you can acknowledge this, right?

Good luck with that. Hey Crush we was MDA fired/resigned? He went straight to Dolan and asked for a Dwill? Pop quiz...who was that said Knick? I'll give u a hint. Initials CA.

Well I never took it personally and neither should you. I certainly dont want to make this or anything about you vs. me.

I am comfortable with saying that of the guys who flooded thread after thread with volumes of Melo negativity for the last 2 years you are or were among the biggest culprits, and I gave very specific examples which you repeated constantly and daily. The specifics I am talking about the 3 points I mentioned over and over. Two years dude. Over and over again.

Couldnt have a OK4 vs. Towns chat (you are certainly right so far on that one) without having the thread turn into your doubts about any prospect developing here with MElo on the roster.

Couldnt talk about future FAs without you turning the thread into Melo's terrible contract making $30mm a year at 50 years old and our cap is forever ruined.

That was UK for two years amigo and you were a big driving force in that. In refuting those three points I became the Melo jock rider which I am most certainly not. So you certainly rubbed Melo and the team's failures in my face yes. I dont hold resentments Guns, but I am not above taking a jab or two after hearing that crap over and over, and you shouldnt be above taking a couple jabs either. You have it coming to you. Take it like a big boy.

I can accept that. That's fair I guess? lol

Also I tend to cut you some slack. Other than when you sling mud I think you fair and balance and you understand the criticisms of Melo. Is the people whose sole purpose on here to to defend Melo at every term and he can do no wrong in there eyes. They won't admit to ONE frickin flaw and the. They say things like Melo has always played this way and it's just better players around him. For example He never passed to Amare the way he has to KP as was talked about earlier in the thread. So instead of refuting that point the usual suspects harped on the fact that I said Amare took Duncan to game 7 as well as all NBA and multiple Allstars. This is the kind of side stepping and deflection from these culprits that a lot of us are sick of hearing. So you and others can think I'm just an A-Hole but that is how I feel. It used to bother me. Now I just don't give a ****. No more Mr. Nice Guy from me. I will continue to engage in basketball discussions and continue to shoot down garbage posts. Especially posts with the intention to attack other fellow Knick fans. I've taken the approach that everything is fair game now. Sling mud and I will back up the truck & sling it right back in loads

Just slinging it back Martin. As I said earlier there is a shortlist of posters I lost complete respect for and if pushed will not see any mercy from me. Jrodmc being at the top of the list with his garbage incoherent, nonsensical, unfunny & passive aggressive attacks.

It takes a lot to really piss me off but these guys managed to accomplish that which says a lot and I'm too proud to not to do anything about it. If this was school and I sat there and took the abuse and did nothing My father would've kicked my ass himself.

Also, I think a lot of people noticed how much the defense suffered without Melo, too.

This is why keeping Melo really helps KP's development. He's not ready to be a #1 option - Melo's pressence immeasurably helps KP's game in all faucets.

agree w/u 150%

Melo likes KP for a GOOD REASON
Eventually if Melo (I like) is still a knick 2-3 yrs
KP will be legit #1 and Melo #2.. a fact. With more talent later Knicks will contend

No guns, I'm not accepting that. Keep it about basketball or you have become exactly what you and I both hate. You have stated this plenty before: either take a short break or ignore or update your ignore list or something. Keep it about basketball.

You're just frazzled man and it's effecting you (you are arguing with Crush with no reason, and he's like the nicest dude around). The Knicks are finally doing well, we have all endured about 15 years of **** and now we got ThisMelo and KP and Phil and a whole crapload of years of good basketball in the Knicks' world.

I agree. I feel exactly the same way

If we can just keep it to basketball then these problems will go away and things will go back to being the way they used to be. I expected the tension she. We were losing and Melo wasn't playing teamball but there's absolutely no need for it now. The Knicks finally appear to be turning the corner and like you said good times are ahead. I hope that is my take. I was able to get that point across despite things getting heated in this thread. I just want us all to be on the same page again and enjoy watching this team continue to grow

Absolutely. I know I was out of line responding to starksewing and I apologize. Tyson, Lin, Shump arggh not gonna see eye to eye with you on those guys. But this a new chapter.Porzingis is the real deal. Phil gets it. Great time to be a knick fan. Looking forward to the conversation here as the Knicks compete for the playoffs.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
