Oh... and by the way... NDour was cut.

Sound like he would have made the Mavs but for the injury...

I also think folks were annoyed that we let him get away as much on principle, than Ndour's actual potential.

You invest some fan love on a guy you did not know about who seemed to have some talent, and you want to see what he can do for your team.

I kind of felt the same way about Galloway last year, and luckily things worked out and he has become a valuable part of the team.

How would you have felt if the same process Ndour went through this year had happened with Galloway last year, and he had made second team All-Rookie in a Mav's uniform, and not ours?

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I would say thems the breaks. Annoyed is one thing. The opinions expressed on this thread were not annoyance, they were venomous and comdemning of Phil's GMing and the direction of the team.

There is always luck and timing. Hassan Whiteside took 4+ years and got lots of looks. It just so happens he was with Mia when he was ready to put it together and become a bigtime NBA player. Did Sac fail? Or did Whiteside fail to show he deserved to stick around?

A lot of guys come and go. Its up to the organization to provide an avenue to success, but its the player's job to perform. If you are too patient with one player it means your missing looks at other players. If you arent patient enough you miss out. At the end of the day you judge a body of work, not some obscure prospect that may or may not have made the roster and been a good player.

Knicks cut Galloway, but in the DLeague gave him his avenue for success. He played great there. He was promoted. He's now an NBA player and in the rotation.

Knicks liked NDour, but didnt really have a place for him. I would sigh him to a deleague deal to rehab, and keep in the queue for next year when Williams gets $12mm a year after his breakout season and we let him walk to chase Durant or whoever. Always move forward and be fluid. Im good with it

You always hated N'Dour, probably didn't like his duet with Peter Gabriel either. He was here a short while but N'Dour showed himself to be a high energy guy who played on both ends of the court, and was big on being a positive influence on the team. Not hard to want a player like that on your team. I disagreed with Phil on this move, but Ive defended almost every other roster move he's made.

I would have still wanted the Knicks to spend a little money to have N'dour in the training camp competing although Fisher's love affair with Lance would have prevented him from playing time. N'dour potential is something the Knicks need an athletic big that can guard multiple positions 22nd stretch the floor..

Also, unlike Dallas guess who has an open spot, the Knicks. They could have paid him and sent him to the DL. What I would do is recruit N'dour to play at Westchester so he can rehab close to his "hometown". If the Knicks could pull that off then they would have made an awesome move to get someone else to pay for him to stay in states. The problem is Dallas is offering the same deal and know he has familiarity with them but Dallas is not home.

I would track him down and offer him a D-League contract, so he can rehab with a training staff. See how he looks in the D-League, see where our needs are around February or so.

You never know.

Knicks have a shot and Ndour had interest as of two months ago. Could be a thing.

Sign the guy to the D League or something. He was a perfect fit for the triangle offense. After he heals I want to see how if continues to do well in the triangle offense. I am not sold on Kevin Seraphin yet.

Has anyone mentioned why he was cut from Dallas?
Cant' they put him on Injured reserve and not make a decision now?
If they thought he would make the team, why not do that, and themselves put him in their D-league? After all, they are paying him either way!

I bought this album years ago!

I might be wrong but I think since the roster expanded from 12-15 they are not able to put players on injured reserve. I think he was cut because he was injured and because they needed a healthy center more than an injured 3/4.

Ok, but why not send them to their D-league team?

I am sure they would like to. I think the rules might be different because he had a guaranteed contract as opposed to a training camp contract.

Big difference between Ndour and Gallo since Gallo had proven that he can play in the NBA during the regular season against NBA starters and Ndour played against rookies, UDFA's and overseas players and 90% of them will never play a game in the NBA......BIG DIFFERENCE.
