We are lucky to get Monroe and a Danny Green and that gets us to a 7/8 seed with zero flexibility to add major talent going forward. Definitely a lockout looming.

At this point I would be patient and focus my attention on picking off talent from team needing to shed salary. I suspect the Bulls will be looking to deal either Taj Gibson or Noah. I think Hawks may look to offload Muscala. Rockets may have to give up Papanikolaou, or some of their PFs. Celtics might need to shed some salary too. Need to pay attention to who is needing cap space to overpay FAs.

Dragic isn't all that athletic to begin with. I think he'll be able to play to the same level into his mid 30s. He doesn't have as much mileage on him as Melo. in two years, his salary will be less than 20% of the Heat's cap space... he's a 20ppg 8apg PG who shoots well over 50%. I dunno, seems like a bargain to me.

Exactly- we're double screwed- The Magic will Max Milsap, freeing up the Hawks to max out Carroll. So in one fell swoop we lose out on Milsap, Carroll and Splitter

Mathews likely going to Mavs- they offered $12mil a year, which is insane for a player coming off an achilles tear. Whats even more crazy is he is holding out for $15mil a year!!!
