Wonder what happens with Amir Johnson who has been very efficient the past couple of years and turned 27 years of age at May
Also Greviez Vasquez who is a RFA and was once a walking triple double threat 2 years ago, though on a bad team
Rumor has it that Vasquez is working with Toronto on a contract, either way, I do not see Toronto keeping both Lowry and Vasquez, one likely will be a trading chip in the future if so
They have $13,250,000 in salaries next season though not adding in
Lowry's extension 12 x 4 year (player option for 4th year)
Patrick Patterson's 6m x 3 years
Vasquez ??? I would think it would be in at least the 4m range if resigned for Vasquez, though Uri's skill as a GM includes rotating assets, chips, and negotiating in deals *especially versus the Knick's with CA and selling us AB at over premium/full retail prices, while other teams pay wholesale as comparisons, though NONE are as "talented as CA" at the time but AB trade really bites us in the ass, had we NOT did that trade, we would have plenty of potential deals with those 3 draft picks, possibly even a realistic Pau Gasol or that type of money contract in a trade, of about 10m or slightly under
We payed to get rid of Novak/Camby, while he is getting something back now for Novak in addition to getting rid of AB ,an amnestied target at the time, bringing the trade up to 4 picks now and a trade exemption
He did the same with Raymond Felton/sending him to Portland for a 1st rounder and Andre Miller
Team options in
Jonas Valanciunas
Terrence Ross
1st round pick
Bruno Caboclo (Kevin Durant/Ibaka comparison STASHED, need a couple years to possibly fill out and evaluate first)
He is currently 6-9 with 7-6 wingspan, 205pds and is just 18 years of age
Then again, some here said Ricky Ledo was the next Durant/JR Smith, along with Wiggins as the next Lebron, me included, Iman as Sprewell or at least a YOUNG Tony Allen with the ability to shoot the 3pter and handle the ball better
Then again, Tim Duncan could have been on our roster and not get much PT as a rookie over the favorites of Tyson Chandler, AB, Kmart (if was healthy), our development and lack of systems on OFF and DEF was poor, something I expected to be changed with Phil Jackson here
2nd round pick
DeAndre Daniels who I think is a complete steal, as a SF, who is 6-9, though under 200pds but with over a 7 footers wingspan, and the a very good shooting stroke/3pt 40% shooter with legit NBA range
He must fill out though but he has the potential to be a rebounder/defender/ and 3pt shooter with his wingspan, if developed and works hard, who knows if he can become much better, role players now have Kawaii Leonard to look up to and learn from
In this draft, I really liked both KC McDaniels and DeAndre Daniels, because of their shooting abilities and other skills, though only role player potential at this point
While we have 2 steals of our own, in the end, it depends on if and how they develop, as a Kawaii Leonard type of jump is extremely rare, from role player to MVP in the FINALS in a matter of 2 years
Toronto incoming picks
=============================
2016 first round draft pick from New York
New York will convey the less favorable of its 2016 1st round pick and Denver's 2016 1st round pick to Toronto (via Denver's right to swap for New York) [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011 and then New York-Toronto, 7/10/2013]
2017 second round draft pick from New York
New York's 2017 2nd round pick to Toronto [New York-Toronto, 7/10/2013]
Future 2nd round pick from Utah, unsure of terms, obtained from sending Novak and getting a trade exemption again
Toronto outgoing picks
===============================
2016 second round draft pick to Utah
Utah will receive the less favorable of Boston's 2016 2nd round pick and Toronto's 2016 2nd round pick and Memphis will receive the more favorable of these two picks (via Milwaukee); this potential pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2016 second round draft pick from Boston" on Utah Credits [Memphis-Toronto, 7/9/2009 and then Boston-Memphis-Oklahoma City, 1/7/2014 and then Memphis-Utah, 6/26/2014]

Toronto Roster
===================
As of now,
Lowry
Derozan
Ross
Patterson
Valanciunas
Vasquez/ Diante Garrett/ Dwight Buycks
Lou Williams (possibly full recovered and 6th man of year candidate if so)
DeAndre Daniels
Fields
Syko T
Chuck Hayes
Depending on the cap, they can either have the 5m + MLE or the 2m + room exemption
Though they can likely make a trade with the trade exemption, players above, and/or sign another UFA with the cap space
So they have the ability to add 2-3 talented role players, possibly a 2nd tier STAR, depending on the cap set for next year in a couple of weeks
Then there are also the bird rights of
Amir Johnson which could easily put them over the CAP for the full MLE if needed, of the TEAM OPTION of 7m *final year*, or a possible trade with other players like in the Gasol range
Can they acquire a talent like Kevin Love, which would put them on top of our conference for next season if all goes accordingly
IF the gamble on Bruno pays out, which would take at least 2-3 years as he is only 18 years of age, Toronto can be play offs contenders for the next decade, though the East is possibly improving much with their draft picks/cap space
