exactly, we could easily fill his slot with a player who plays both ends of the floor, get a rebounder and a PG and be a team much better built for the playoffs...

time to get rid of this relic.. his game is old, the league has passed that by...time to move on..

So enlighten us, since you say we can easily do this...who is this player you would fill his slot with that plays both ends of the floor, this rebounder and a pg who will make this team a contender. Easy to pull **** out of your ass when it's at the tip of your anus..like these words that are at the tip of your tongue.

dude you are late.. I won't even bother..

You have been wrong for three years. Enjoy your ten games. Not sure how long your window lasts.

rofl, I have been on the money for 3 years...... get a grip dude..

You've become so egotistical these past few years- no one cares whether you're right or wrong, or I'm right or wrong- your opinion is one of many. Somewhere along the way you've become obsessed about 'being proved right'- it may sound harsh, but it's just not very important to people on here.

obviously they, yall do.. you spend much of your time here going after me and my post every chance you get..

I am not obsessed with being proven right.. I can't help that the knicks are doing that for me...

I am just calling out what I SEE... it has nothing to do with being right actually.. It is like saying the sun is bright..

the problem is, I will have a majority of the posters on here telling me, I am a hater of the sun, and that it isn't actually that bright to begin with...

go figure..

i think the better word is "foresee" as in having enough understanding about the sport and the league to have prescience or predictive ability.

i also think the team would have been better had he waited for free agency. if he had a brain he is probably thinking the same thing. but he is so dimwitted he can't connect the dots and you know his lackeys don't dare breathe a word along these lines. ah well **** you money is a beautiful thing, ain't it?

you are correct.. "forsee" is a better word....

what I find odd about that and funny,is that you will read fans of his say " I don't blame carmelo for taking all the money he could get", or " I am with carmelo wanting to get paid".... ok that is fine..

but....

these same people will say. " He needs more help"..

well if you don't blame him, and you are all for him "getting his money", then you should have no problem with the potential outcome, know the situation him "getting his money" would put us in..

yeah he got his **** you money from dolan and now he is in **** the knicks mode, and this for the second time february 2011 and november 2013 are directly connected. wonder how moocow and gosshamgod are spinning this **** storm?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

TFK.. you always talk about what a tragedy it is to pay Melo $20mm a year plus, but the reality is $20mm a year is much better spent on Melo then a combined Gallo/Chandler/Mosgov.

That right there is the gist of it. You can stick spare parts around Melo.. guys like Toney Douglas, Landry Fields, Copeland, bla bla bla and you make the playoffs. Stick the same spare parts around Chandler/Gallo/Mosgov and they are a lottery team.

I dont love Melo here, we cant build this thing right to get the most out of his talent with this retarded owner so its pointless, but in terms of value? I once thought the Knicks got fleeced. We didnt. we made out just fine. Its the moves after we totally yacked up

This. All day, everyday.

We read Melo blew up the team. We read over and over about Melo forcing to trade half the team away. What team?

It's wasted typing though. tkf would trade melo straight up for the rights to Darko's dog. Make that Darko's dog's sheehit.

Remember the miles of threads showing us how great Denver was after the trade? How they were building for the future? How Karl's genius was finally going to show through? How Gallo was going to be everything at both ends that Melo never would be, in the playoffs and beyond?

Hello? It's the future gentlemen.

how is that working out for us now? we have better than spare parts and we suck...

according to you what stars do denver have? yet they won 57 games last year... they have won more games than us every year since the trade.. even right now, up to this point they are a game better and they don't even have gallo playing..

plus the picks, lord forbids we miss the playoffs and win the lottery..

this kind of talk is just foolish.. absolutely foolish.. carmelo is a waste of 20million dollars.. not money well spent... you guys can fool yourselves all you want..

the proof is in the pudding

3-7 and counting..

First round and out. Say that to yourself.
they won 57 games, but they're first...round...and...out.

I thought the regular season didn't matter? Remember that line of reasoning when everyone on here talks about 54 wins and winning the division?

Try a little consistency, tkf. It might help your coherence.

They aren't that 57 win team any more and the Knicks are not the 54 win team. The roster has changed.

This guy can give his word all he wants he is Audi 5000 after this season. He can do another 4 year contract with a 3 year opt out in La with Kobe or in Dallas with Nowiski and Ellis. Exactly why would Carmelo stay with this team--it has 0 chance of being good. He knows it

I don't think either of those two teams are much better off than we are. I say he stays and waits for K Love and a better PG

The problem is that Carmelo just doest have the ability to lead a team to a title. Thats not a knock on him he just is whta he is. he is a scorer but not much else. He is better off being the second guy on a contending team. I just hope that if we are 15 game sunder .500 at the deadline we try and get some value back

I agree with this, get value back in form of picks and young players. Most likely though the Knicks max him out.

A few extra $ is no incentive to stay--when he goes to LA with the warm weather playing with Kobe for another 3 years--he will sign right there==the Lakers have been great over time w free agents.

I'm already on record that I really don't mind if he walks. At 30 he is on a down turn in his career and beside when has a maxed out 30 year old player ever payed dividends for the Knicks.

Honestly wondering why there hasn't been any kind of a follow up to Isola's story about his injured shoulder being sore.

but what he doesn't know is that he could have acted in such a way as to have the team be better. at this point i think there are a raw majority of people who understand that we overpaid-- WAY overpaid in my opinion.

he should forever be held beneath contempt by new yorkers for splitting instead of taking less bread to have a better chance at winning.

You'd rather be Utah <---this is sig worthy, dude. Seriously.

DENVER IS now .500 and not healthy

knicks are 3-9 and stink..

say that to yourself Jrod and find another hobby, you not good at this..

regular season matters to teams like Denver who are clearly trying to rebuild..

win now teams like the knicks.. 54 wins and then getting your brains blown out in the playoffs hurts.. no moral victories for these geezers...

jrod sounds like he is Dolan's wife--she may know a little more about basketball than him although that is not saying too much. J rod I second it--Id 100X rather be Utah than the Knicks. In fact Id bet 90% of savvy knick fans would rather be in uTahs position.

I dont like where the Knicks are, but I certainly wouldnt want to be in Utahs shoes either.

why not? did you see all the picks they have? they have two in this upcoming draft, and guys like favors are only getting better.. they can be good soon, and fast.. as I said, you don't have to be bad in this league for long...

TFK.. you always talk about what a tragedy it is to pay Melo $20mm a year plus, but the reality is $20mm a year is much better spent on Melo then a combined Gallo/Chandler/Mosgov.

Because we all know he'll start shooting better, we'll win a few games and then, just when it looks like things are turning around, he will re-aggravate the shoulder injury and be out for the year! At that point Dolan will give him a max contract.

The day after that story I remember reading a quote from Melo saying his shoulder was fine
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.
Reality ---Carmelo could abandon ship
