That's not Cope's fault. O nly positives in regard to C.C.

Felton is an embarrassment. I feel embarrassed to have this clown on my team.

Dude gets rightfully booed in Portland and he laughs and taunts the crowd like he doesn't deserve it.

The best part is that he says "I was just out of shape, nothing else" in regards to his Portland season. As if being out of shape is not a big deal because of the lockout. It's not like the man is an athlete whose only job is to be in damn shape. Dude acts like he was in the right and he deserves no blame. He was fat last year and there are no excuses. Then he acts like a crybaby when he gets rightfully criticized. I hate this dude.

They've got to let JR and Felton do most of the scoring at this point. Let the other guys feed off their penetration.

I fear we may not win a game on this trip. This was one of the most winnable games. LAC is gonna kill us. Then we'll be dog tired by the time we get to Utah. GEEZ!

I really expected a big game from Felton! We have to get better leadership from him. He's the only young PG we have. He's got to be able to carry the load for us offensively, setting up his teammates and set the tone on D.

1) Is it fair to ask a guy only making $4M a season to

- carry the load offensively
- set up teammates
- set the tone on D

??

What other guys making that $ are expected to do the same for their team? This is not a rhetorical question. I would actually like to see if our expectations might be a bit too high.
Just for kick I looked at Atlanta on hoopshype salaries page, Devin Harris makes $8M per.

Courtney Lee and Jason Terry make $5M.

2) Was it even wise for us to give Felton 3 years and a PLAYER option for a 4th?

3) Who were we bidding against? Couldn't we have gotten away with less $, less years or even a team option for year 4?

I actually don't think that for one or 2 games that asking for a player to step up and give the team more is asking too much. Most players playing a team game are not pushing themselves as hard as they can go, since they're allowing their teammates to take some of the load. However, it's entirely possible for a player to be more aggressive and take over in an effort to make up for the loss of another player. We actually needed more from Felton and this was a perfect game for him to do that. How much a player gets paid means nothing to me. There are always examples of players that are making too much or less than market value. All I care about is that Felton has played far better than he did tonight in previous games and we needed that better effort tonight.

Sunday could be a 40 or 50 point loss like the Boston game when isiah was here

I might just cut out some pieces of paper with "NY Knicks" and "LA Clippers" written on them, and then when the game starts, stick the piece of paper with 'NY Knicks' written on it, over the 'LA Clippers' line of the scorebox, and the 'LA Clippers' one over the 'NY Knicks' line.

I went off to sleep at half time, guess I got an extra hour of sleep out of it. Painful.
