really? you're going to deny the fact that he's improved on defense this year? you don't have to be a genius to see it.

Why would you want those guys to play? Copeland takes terrible shots, and is way to 3 point happy, he also isn't great defensively. White isn't any good, there's a reason this guy hasn't stuck on any NBA team in his career. He seems to have lost the freak athleticism he used to have.

Cope doesn't take bad shots! He just needs his coach to have some faith in him and give him a chance to prove himself. Woody has some kind of thing against the kid.

He really hasn't improved, I would of said that earlier in the year but now he's pretty much back to his old ways. It's just pure laziness, Carmelo has the tools to be an elite defender. Quickness, strong legs for sliding, length yet he refuses to assert himself at times.

He has. You're taking the last couple of games into account while forgeting about the earlier ones. He doesn't have a great defensive game every time out, but neither does he have a horrible defensive game every time. It's just what people choose to focus on.
I'm never going to state Melo's a great defender unless he somehow improves even noticibly more, but he's not as bad as you make it out to be.

The Knicks are in a 3-game losing streak and the general over-negativity on this forum is amplified by 1000, I don't know why this even bothers me.

I read some where that woody said his pratice habits don't warrant playing time

Switching everything works as long as everyone rotates PERFECTLY when we're forced to double. Maybe we'll get it by seasons end because it doesn't look like we're changing philosophies anytime soon.

Perhaps some zone would make sense??

Zone makes too much sense for Woody to try it again

If rotations are late that also kind of falls on the players. Whoever is late rotating.

I guess they don't even bother attempting to fight through screens because it's confusing if one guy fights through and the other guys already switched
