That's a pretty weak denial of the rumors.

Yeah, what i took from the comments was an admission that the rumours are true and the Knicks haven't ruled it out.

Woodson said he has talked to Shumpert about trade rumor but can't assure him he won't be moved.

Shumpert is the only "kid" we have and some people's paternal instincts are kicking in. Shumpert is a poor man's Tony Allen, but if Tony is your only kid, he's golden to you.

Yep nice way to put it Shump, it's the "NOT MY KID" instinct kicking in. You know the kid has issues but does have some bright spots too, but we're becoming overly attached to the youngster because all the other kids are grown up out of the house with families or making families, or away at college, or getting ready to commit to a college, meanwhile Shump is about to enter middle school and we want to shower the world on him making up for all past mistakes....ROTFLOL!
