Who do people think Stat is with only 5 shots (and all made) in the game - Dwight Howard?

Yea, right, let's bench our franchise player and leader of our team. Let's bench the same player who's not only LED us to first place of the Atlantic Division (something we haven't won since 1994 and only two times under Ewing) but has also LED us to the 2nd seed of the entire Eastern Conference 41 games into the regular season. He's done all of this, during only his first (full) season as a Knick.

Yea, right, let's bench Melo. Lets bench Melo due to 5/16, 14 points, 4 boards and 2 assists during the first half.

Did you not see Melo during the first half against Boston when compared to the 2nd half against Boston? Exactly. Melo simply took over the game, dominated the entire Celtics team while leading us to victory in Boston during the 2nd half.

Yea, right; lets "BENCH" Melo!!!!

Bench him for the quarter. Not the game. Melo SHOULD NOT have a green light to throw up nasty shots!

It's pretty obvious that you came here to deliver your boilerplate Anti-Melo rant. Have at it.

no reason to take 16 shots when you have other guys you could set up..benching him is not a bad idea..

just for a few, so he could see the ball movement

my point exactly!

5-16? Say hello to the first half.

How many Atlantic Division's did EWING lead our Knicks two during our entire era under Ewing? The answer would be two.

Melo has LED us to first place of the Atlantic Division and 2nd place of the entire Eastern Conference during only his first (full) season as a Knick.

Let's not talk about Melo's FG% ala "5-16" when Melo has a FG% of .454 here in 2012-2013. Your little boy lover in Gallo? .414.

How about Gallo first puts up a better shooting percentage when compared to Melo before you EVER mention Melo's shooting percentage again.

I can't wait until Melo dominates the 2nd half of tonight's game as he did against Boston.

Tyson is only 1/1 because he can't create offense unless it's a lob at the rim. Kidd is 0/2. Shumpert is 0/4. J.R is 0/5.

Melo has to force shots because his surrounding team isn't hitting. Yes Amar'e is playing nice, but that's about it on offense. Melo is one of the greatest pure scorers this franchise has ever seen. Hopefully he shoots another 16 during the second half, because he has the scoring ability to go 12/16 while getting to the free throw line at will.

Keep shooting Melo. Because you're by far our greatest scorer since Patrick Ewing of his prime years.

I would start the second half with Iman on Jrue and White in for Kidd.

One thing I know about my knicks when the ball moves around everybody plays defense.

This is why Prigioni is necessary

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

When you're averaging 29.1 points per game ala 2nd in the entire NBA in scoring while shooting .454 from the field despite the fact our team has been murdered due to injuries... You have the green light to shoot all night, each and every night.

Papabear Says

Melo and JR Smith are stinking up the place tonight so far Woody let them just shoot the ball. And who is guarding Holliday.

36% from the field

20% from 3pt range

9 Turn Overs

Plilly shooting 56% from the field

We are lucky to be trailing by only 12.

Not sure why Ewing was invoked here, but Melo isn't Ewing. Ewing shot 50% for his CAREER. Melo hasn't shot 50% for one season. Ewing also averaged 10 boards and 2.4 blks. For his career.

Ewing also made a few All-Defensive teams. It's not really a great comparison.

If people want to criticize Melo for shooting poorly, they have the right. The same way Brewer or JR or anyone else on the team is criticized. He's not above reproach.

Houston playing Brooklyn and Washington up by 14 on Chicago there in the 3rd quarter.

Lets come out guns blazing here in the 2nd quarter. Melo will lead while our Knicks take this game. Time to play tough defense and dominate these boards.
