I'll agree to disagree.
This team isn't grooving because Stoudemire "isn't here", this team is competing (and winning) due to the likes of coach Woodson, Felton, Kidd, J.R Smith, Brewer, Novak, Melo, Rasheed and Tyson Chandler. Even the likes of Pablo and Kurt Thomas have contributed. That's why this team grooving, not because we're "without Amar'e Stoudemire" ala one of our best offensive talents.
Not once during Stoudemire's career has he ever been surrounded by this much overall talent. Surround Amar'e with this much talent? And the sky could then become our limit. Stoudemire also feasted with Raymond Felton as our PG back in only 2010-2011. Felton also feasted with Amar'e ala setting a career high in both points per game (17.1) along with assists per game (9.0). Stoudemire himself also set a franchise record for most consecutive games of 30+ points. Felton and Stoudemire feasted as a duo.
Then you add veteran PG's such as Pablo and especially Jason Kidd working with Stoudemire? It's a wrap. If Amar'e can remain healthy, he'll become a freak of nature down low. We also have defensive BIG's as Kurt Thomas, Rasheed Wallace, Marcus Camby and Tyson Chandler who can protect Stoudemire on the defensive end.
But then again, these are just my thoughts...
