This guy said "ball don't lie" to me in rec league when I blatantly traveled , stepped out of bounds and still got the shooting foul

I hate that team, we play them again in a few weeks,

“My season ain’t over,” he said. “I’m going to be back. I was laid off for three years, so one little foot injury ain’t going to stop me.”

Jared Zwerling:

Not sure on timing. The Knicks are being quiet on that front. I only know this from one reliable league source: "The injury is an old foot injury. He can't push it too much, and it's not looking good. He should have had surgery years ago, but he did not. I'm not sure how bad it was then, but it was pretty bad from what I heard."

Hmm, sounds like he must have fractured his foot years ago and opted not to have surgery. Guess it didn't heal properly as a result and is now vulnerable to getting broken again, hence all that "stress reaction" talk. I suppose they're waiting to see if it heals and starts getting better, but it's healing a lot slower than they would like and some staff are starting to wonder if it's not going to. Seems like Woody and Sheed are staying positive. A shame, but I think the odds are against him holding up til the playoffs even i he does make it back- hope he proves me wrong though.

Interesting stuff out of practice at Temple University today, grilling Woodson about starting lineups and Rasheed Wallace. It was an optional practice at Temple and Rasheed stayed back at the hotel. He is running on state-of-the-art machines but not on the court. Woodson said, however, if tomorrow was a playoff game, he would play. My theory is they are in absolute no rush to bring Wallace back because the medical staff must feel he has so many games left on his left foot, which has a stress reaction. Woodson said he'll start running on the court next week - he's said that before - and he'll need time to get into better condition. Think all they care about is Rasheed being right for the playoff run. Again, as we have reported, he does not have a stress fracture but Dr. Lisa Callahan is concerned it can turn into one without proper rest. If he fractures the foot, he's done. For now, they can live without him, especially if Camby is back in the next 10 days. We reported today Camby has taken off his walking boot and could be back in a week.

Camby should be back by next weekend and Sheed will be back after he makes it out of Black Mesa with Gordon Freeman.

Anji - you are a Kung Fu Knicks Master of the highest order.

If Rasheed returns by early March that should be plenty of time for him to regain his game rhythm andngetvready for a memorable playoff run.

Raymond Felton will practice Friday at Temple University in contact drills for the first time and scrimmage. Team doctors will evaluate him tomorrow before deciding whether he can play against the Sixers.

Felton, who hasn’t played since Dec. 26, was more cautious than earlier on whether he will be cleared to return from his broken right pinkie Saturday in Philadelphia.

“There’s no need to rush back,’’ Felton said. “These guys are doing great. No need to try to come back and reinjure my hand and I’m out longer. If I have to sit out another two more games, if that’s what it takes, and come back home, that’s what I have to do. We’ll see what happens [Friday].’’

Felton said earlier this week there’s a “a big chance’’ he’ll be cleared.

* Center Marcus Camby (plantar fasciitis) has taken his boot off his left foot and could be a week away from returning. Thursday was two weeks since he reinjured his left foot in Indiana. The diagnosis was 2 to 4 weeks.

Camby said the pain has lessened.

“I don’t know yet,’’ he said when asked if he will be back next week.

Camby is not allowed to take another cortisone shot for two months. He took one in December that got him back on the court on Christmas.

Finally a timeline for Rasheed! He's only running on anti-gravity machine, but coach says he could start running on court next week #Knicks

What the heck is an anti-gravity machine? Honestly I do not understand how pro athletes can get out of shape.

“I’m not sure,’’ Stoudemire said if he’ll ever start. “Coach has an ideal of how he wants to play the game and I’m here for him. Whatever that chemistry brings for us, so be it.’’

If Amare starting is a non-issue to him, why do writers keep the non-issue alive as if it is a legitimate issue?

Wonder who's losing minutes once we get either Camby or Sheed back? Novak? but then Woody seems keen on him.

“My season ain’t over,”

“I’m real anxious to be honest. Sometimes sitting on the sideline or sitting in the back watching those guys it’s killing me because at certain points of the games I feel like that I could have gotten that rebound or I would have been able to trap here or do something there. It’s a lot of what ifs.”

“I definitely want to be out there with my soldiers. I’m in practice preparing and going through game film. I’m preparing myself, but I have to say, ‘Guys, I can’t get on the airplane and go to war with you.’ It kills me, but there’s nothing I can do.”

March, Sheed. March is cool.
