I'm with you. In the meantime, time to start my nets blog. I'm pretty disgusted that we let an asset walk. Feel worst about that. Not even a first round pick back. No nothing.

Oh and i see you joined the forum Feb 2012!Coincidence i think not!

There is no coincidence. I have been watching the Knicks probably before you were in diapers. The Knicks have been unwatchable for well over a decade. I joined the forum once a player came around that allowed me to become engaged again. The Knicks were on their way to not even making the playoffs with their high priced out is shape players. Lin saved the season...it is that simple.

There we go a fair weather fan!if the Knicks are your team you watch and support them in good times and bad!And i don't know how old you are but ive been watching the them since Bernard King,Truck robinson.Rory sparrow,Bill Cartwright,Louis Orr,Ken the animal Bannister, etc!

Rich, I have been rooting for the knicks all my life but my sentiments are also the same as HugeKnick4. This was a bad move, no matter how you look at it. Horrible basketball move.

Lin is going to put up stats and Houston will get a top 10 lottery pick.

Lin signed the revised deal for the $$$. He is no fool. He knows first hand how fast those checks can stop coming.

I wish Lin well in Houston (at least for 80 games in the schedule). Certainly will have a soft spot for the Linsanity run. That said, I think I'll end up missing Gallo/Chandler more than Lin. Always a different story when they choose to leave, and let's not mince words, he chose to leave.

Sorry but I don't wish Lin well in Houston.

Lin didn't wish himself well, either. What kind of team does Houston have? They've stripped that roster down to barebones.

The rest of the NBA already watched the tape on Lin. He's been exposed. The Knicks knew that, which is why they decided that Lin just wasn't worth the money.

If Lin REALLY wanted to be here, then he would have NOT renegotiated and subsequently SIGNED that restructured offer sheet.

Maybe Lin just wanted to be reunited with Tony Douglas.

lol... Well, whether he wanted it or not, he has that reunion now.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I really enjoyed him here. My wife started watching the Knicks again which enhanced my life and decreased some strife. If you believe Isola, that he was behind changing the contract for the third year, then you believe he got what he wanted. He has a bit of a hall pass but it seems like he wanted to play with the rockets and pulled a Boozer move.

If the Knicks really wanted him they could have just kept him from the beginning. I think Isaih (through Woody and Dolan) didn't want Lin all along. They do have a small window of opportunity with Amare's bad back and declining athleticism so it looks like they are trying to win now by getting old guys like Kidd and Camby. None of this makes sense though unless they have some plan all along to get CP3 this year.

The team is incredibly old now and to get out of the East with a reloaded Heat will be very tough.

Isola also said Rubio would be a bust.

If you think Isiah was involved in this decision my advice to you is to put on your Tebow jersey, and pour yourself a big bowl of Flutie flakes. No way Isiah doesn't match and find a way to make that contract more restrictive.

I think CP3 is closer to a championship in LA. Why would he want to come to the knicks when he sees the way they treat players? Why would any decent player want to come to New York now? The Knicks are over the cap, old, bicker and fight with each other over whose ball it is and whose salary should be higher. All of this and they can barely make it to the playoffs year after year and if and when they do make it to the playoffs they are swept out of the first round perennially. If you watch a player who went out of their way to be unselfish get run out of town the way Lin was run out of town, would you want to turn around and beg to go to the Knicks now? I wouldnt.

Good luck to Jeremy - I never understood why a player would want to go play in Houston. Yao wasnt nearly as big a star as he could have been had he played in a place like NY or LA. Sure Houston isnt terrible, but it is nothing compared to NYC.

He is also going to a team that is rebuilding. Maybe he wasnt a believer in what the Knicks are doing, maybe he is all about himself, who knows - but he downgraded his team and upgraded his pay check in the 3rd year. Unless they get Dwight I really don't see why he would want to play on that squad - it is going to be frustrating and he will again be the focal point of the defense which will expose a lot of his game.

Don't get me wrong, I would have loved for Lin to stay with NY but there are tons of issues and unknowns with him. I am also sort of glad that the Linsanity stuff is out of NY - tickets got crazy expensive, bandwagoners, and psychos were all coming out of the woodwork. Now maybe UK forum will settle down a little, tickets will come back to earth, and the Knicks can get back to basketball and hopefully improve.

You would have to be naive to think that Isiah isn't still exerting his influence. His best buddy and Hooier college teammate is running the team (Woodson) how did he get the permanent headcoaching job so quickly after MDA was purged?

There was a lot of speculation that he was brought in as the coach in waiting when Grunwald hired him. D'Antoni's staff aside from Herb and Kenny Atkins, all had been with him since Phoenix. D'Antoni did not want a defensive assistant and made a point of saying Woodson was another coach on the staff on several occasions.

That's all fine but you do realize that Grunwald was an Isaih Thomas hire in the first place. Grunwald was team captain of the Indiana Hoosier national championship team that starred Isaih Thomas. And Woodson and Isaih were the starting backcourt the year before when they made the sweet sixteen. All 3 were on the team at the same time that year. The Isiah Thomas regime is still firmly in place, Grunwald (Hoosier), Mike Woodson (Hoosier). And Woodson was never on Phoneix with D'antoni.
