Unless Nash is coming for the full mle and dolan makea a splash. No one is coming here and overshadowing lin and what he means to new york and the league
And that will make the NY Knicks better?
What is your best idea for a back up pg?
Do you think Lin is ready to play on a level of basketball we saw the last week?
I think he has potential to but I cannot give you a definite yes or no. He needs to get stronger and have coach that recognize the importance of using a secondary ball handler.
But again what is your best idea?
Bring in a PG who can get Amare 15 to 20 shots a game and who can compete with Miami..Bring Lin off the bench and let him develop..He is essentially a rookie and isn't ready to compete against Miami..The Knicks have a small window and waiting for Lin to develop should not be the gameplan..
And who is this international man of mystery?
Your like a lot of Knick fans. No imagination. You want the sure thing. Give up any youthful assets to get the "NOW" player.
You don't get a Heat killer with 5mm per do you? So how do you beat the Heat?
If Nash won't take the MLE then Felton..No mystery..It's not about giving up on youth, it's about honestly recognizing we have a small window and waiting for one player to develop should not be the gameplan...If Lin is ready he starts, if not come off the bench...Why is this a problem, it's beneath Lin?
I agree I want Nash or Felton, I know it was just one game but Lin's ball handling ability got exposed vs the Heat and I did not like what I saw, we need a vet you can handle the pressure and is also respected by the officials. Knicks need a shooting guard who can shoot as well no more of this Landry parading around as a starting shooting guard that experiment should have died with Dantoni he is a back up small forward at best.
Indict Lin with one game "exposed" against the Heat? C'mon man, one game?? Heat exposed a lot of dudes this season.
Lin played 26 games and averaged (i think) 18 and 6) Thats thru Linsanity and with woodson and a bum knee.
Im not going just on stats but what I saw. The kid rose to every challenge and had the stones to close out games.
Heat murdered linsanity for sure and bought the end of innocence. Lin is not the son of christ and was not able to rise up to defeat them. It was a teaching moment and did show the kid how to be stopped. To do so you have to give and he has to learn what that is. It was one game.
Lin can handle the pressure.
And Lin will be Linjured as will all our starters so yes we need a quality backup. Thats a given. Kidd is more than an able back up.
Knicks fans are Savior starphuchers for sure.
