Well... After beating the Celtics, the Knicks are back in this Atlantic thing. Yeah we know it's a tough road, but they still have a shot to do this. IMO they really need to push for it. It's well worth the extra effort. Of course the Celtics have to basically lose out, but it's still there as a possibility. Finishing strong also has benefits for the Knicks outside of the chance to move up.

So we root for Orlando tonight? I still think catching Orlando might be less of a miracle.

You may be right given the Magic's remaining schedule:

Wed, Apr 18 Boston Celtics @ Boston
Sat, Apr 21 Utah Jazz @ Utah
Sun, Apr 22 Denver Nuggets @ Denver
Wed, Apr 25 Charlotte Bobcats vs Charlotte
Thu, Apr 26 Memphis Grizzlies @ Memphis

Just from the looks of it, the Magic could easily go 1-4!!! Those road games are BRUTAL! Both Boston and Orlando are going to have some tough games coming up. Knicks just have to keep winning. They can't relax, which is my biggest fear.

4. x-Boston 10.5
5. x-Atlanta 10.0

7. New York 14.0
8. Philadelphia 15.0
9. Milwaukee 16.5

Well if I had to choose who i'd like to see fall off the cliff i'd choose Boston. It's going to be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Rondo looked real tender going back to sit on the bench last night. I don't know if he'll be able to play tonight.

We might be able to pass the Hawks as well. We've really gotta win the last 5 games here. LAC and ATL are the only two challenges.

the idea that we're going to make up 4 games on the hawks with 5 games to go is kinda crazy. especially on a night they won by 32.

i get that there's an outside chance/hope of catching the magic w/o dwight (though they have played pretty well without him)... but to catch boston or atlanta at this point is crazy./

i'm not expecting it... though i admit i am keeping my eye on them. they do indeed have a tough schedule. knicks basically need to win out for there to be a chance of it though. we shall seeeeeee.

i would LOVE to get the 6th seed and play indiana. love it love it love it. we shall see.

Or the knicks lose one game and Orlando loses out. Won't happen cause they have Charlotte at home. We need to go to atlanta where Larry Drew has a chance to phuck it all up for us and Woody.

Pipe dream but at least its still a dream.

here's what Orlando has left:

Sat 21 @ Utah
Sun 22 @ Denver
Wed 25 vs Charlotte
Thu 26 @ Memphis

3 on the road...we need them to lose 3. Maybe Charlotte will be motivated to not secure the worst record in NBA history and win a freaking game already...eh, what am I saying, they blow

If Dwight doesn't play its a good chance they will lose 3 of 4. Only the Bobcats are a horrible team.

Does a Milwaukee loss tonight clinches us a playoff berth? I think we'd be 4 up with 4 to go, so maybe next Knick's win or Milwaukee's loss?

Yep. Pacers beat Milwaukee 118-109, and we have officially clinched a playoff berth.

Keep pushing. Want to keep that edge we've been playing with since the coaching change. Also, Magic are wounded and with the current news of Howard, who knows how they will react.
