thats one thing people need to consider. Now teams are gonna spend much more time on lin which is gonna make it harder for him. lets see how he does

Gustav - Lin's defensive instincts are decent. Most of all, the way he can change gears off the dribble is sweet.

Good! They should sit him for a week.

1) to get healthy because he is still our beast
2) to see that it's not all about him - its about the team
3) so we can see what the other players can bring to the table

Novak is the perfect player to play with Lin. Lin will get him open shots all night.

Teams can try to focus on Lin but the reason teams can't stop it is the system creates openings when the PG uses it. The spread floor, motion and picks just force the D to do things that create open shots. It's up to the PG to hit the open and for the team to move the ball to the open man too. Without a doubt THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION IN THE SYSTEM IS THE PG.

Let teams focus on Lin. I'll love it when they forget we have Amar'e and Melo together for a long stretch.

In this system, Lin can really be something. Really...

Yadda. Yadda. Lin is no fluke. Know why he is smiling? At Harvard, Lin had limited talent around him. This is intuitive for him.

The best part? Lin is NOT showing any sign of turning into Toney Douglas.

This is no fluke.
Lin has court vision and great (not good) fundamentals.

I'm not a bandwagon kind of guy, but he's a very lovable player.

I think we have found our PG, his whole skillset is made for this system.

By the way this is the slowed down halfcourt version of the system. This isn't SSOL!!! Just for those that think all there is to it was run n gun!

raven - what you said, which is what The Answer Man just said, right when you were saying it.

The NBA.TV studio guys just mentioned Chris Paul's change of speed with JLin's change of speed in the same sentence. They were clowning, but guess what.... ?

Just imagine if Stat had been there instead of JJ (who's very valuable to this team even if he bricks layups).

Stat would have made terrible terrible things to the rim...

If the bench plays the same way in the 2nd half as it did in the 1st then that shows just how bad at PG TD is and to a lesser extent Shump.

Jesus Christ man im not bashing lin. I think lin is playing great. Walt even said they are forcing lin to his left but he has adjusted well. next time dont jump to conclusions because you sound like a twat

I agree Earl, Lin does a great job of getting low to the ground to force turnovers. You're right about changing gears, he doesn't give up the ball too soon and sees the floor well. You and Martin were right about Lin and Fields being a good tandem. This might be the most confident I've seen Fields going to the rim as a pro. He wisely gave up on using his dribble and gets by defenders with a burst of speed.

Gonna be interesting to see how Lin develops his J. I am sure he will work his ass off but it does not always come. Fields is having a hard time developing / perfecting his shot.

Turn to YES. Can someone please explain to me why the Nets are wearing jerseys with "New York" written across the chest?
