Papabear Says

You live by the three you die by the three. Bad habits are hard to break. D'Antoni is not complaining about too many 3s so he is blessing it. If this keeps up this will be his last year.

tough loss.. amare did all he could.

gallo still off with his three..

chandler had a good game, but has to play smarter and pass the rock..

Steph curry has a hokey, circus game, but effective.. guards who keep their dribble alive kill us.... we could use him

TD struggling

felton is good creating for himself..

Knicks have work to do...

not ready to panic..

They are 3 games too late already.

Not panicking , I just can't wait until I see PnR actually played by our team. We need Felton and Amare to step up. Thats our #1 concern, as of right now.

To many threes screw spacing and P&R. Team needs a new offense best to go back to JVG grind it out basketball. I think the team is better suited for that. Occasional three where maybe 5-10 are attempted in the course of the game is what is needed. Fast breaks when opportunities are presented. I think D'Antoni can adjust the team to that kind of system. It needs to be done can't continue to jack up threes. Not a good way to play basketball.

I think you are right about what needs to be done. I think D'Antoni is too rigid to make those adjustments. D'Antoni's signature is his offense. His focus is his offense. If his team loses he works on perfecting the offense so it doesn't lose. He is what he is. I don't see that change happening but I am happy that there are good defensive players on his team and that the rookies are in the rotation.

Even Pat Riley changed systems and he won championships running showtime. I think D'Antoni should definitely consider changing the system, he is very capable of doing it and he basically has to do it because its not working whatever he is trying to do with the Knicks.

d'antoni said we'll be fine as long as we keep shooting threes and cut down on dribble penetration.

Fantastic. It doesn't sound like he is going to make adjustments to fix something that hasn't worked for the last 172 games.

We'll be fine. Next game we'll shoot 40 threes! To heck if we only make 7!

Fields always seems to be a plus on the game.

The 3s are ridiculous.

If the 3's were open and the right person is taking it I don't have issue about. But chandler doesn't have the range and not smart it enough to see he is tightly covered.

No way, under any circumstances, should a team shoot 30+ threes in a 48 minutes game. And after an offseason where you got a beast close to the basket, a 50%+ shooter, the least you are gonna do is make him shoot threes. The team is a mess and it starts with the coach.

if defense are clogging up the pnr I don't have an issue as long as the person can shoot and smart enough. Problem is we don't have a shooter. Gallo is only closest we got that can shoot from the outside. TD and Ray are not as expected as he is. If gallo can't shoot he is killing us. Fields and Chandler are more slasher (sprewell) and if gallo was more like (h20) we would have more spacing. By the time AZ comes back it maybe too late.

Last night was the last straw. I want to see a change. This team should be going to the rim and shooting 3's only if its a kick out.

That was ridiculous.

Didn't we have this conversation a while ago? There was 1 game last season that gallo took 15 or more 3 pointers. That game he was 8-16. If you are shooting 50% from 3 I don't think you should stop shooting the 3.

Please take some time and look at the stats if you want to make an argument. Almost all of the games where he shoots a very high number of 3s, its because he is hitting a very high percentage of them.
