I may be a homer but I dont say that Chris Wilcox is better than David is like you did when we trade for him. Must have been some bad weed going around the dorms when that was said

The fact that you coached a bunch of mediocre and scrub current and former NBA players in rec league is supposed to make your opinion better than everyone else and supposed to prove that Lee is worth $10 million per season? Explain to me how that works. How do I take someone's biased opinion seriously? I'm not biased on David Lee. It's just my opinion. He didn't do anything to me for me to not want him here. I just don't like him as a player. But you simply want him here because you know him. To me, that's sad and undermines your credibility on the forum.

Chris Wilcox is on an NBA team. Where is David Lee? Still overvaluing himself instead of looking at himself as the role player that he is. David Lee is a product of this system besides the rebounds. He cannot create his own shot on offense and really does nothing besides score off pick and rolls. His outside shot is not consistent and his defense is pathetic. I'm not paying a guy 10 mill to rebound. If you want to, go write him the check yourself Mr. NBA coach. So when I take everything into account, how much better is David Lee than role players like Wilcox? Not that much, King, sorry. And I don't smoke weed either.

We all know wha t you don't like.
Lee is bad, Nate is dumd, DuDu is DuDu, Galo has stiff legs, Chan is avarage backup man, other bunch is a pull of garbage.
But what you like? What do you thing Walsh should do to make this team better?

Wha? I like Gallo alot and Chandler too. Duhon would be a great backup on this team. I like Hill and Douglas too.

What should Walsh do? Stay the course. Try desperately to trade Jeffries/Curry with Lee and Nate to rid of their salaries. Sign Sessions. Wait patiently until next summer.

You like Wilson but you hate Hughes. Wilson cant shoot the ball just like Larry and Hughes is a much better defender in this league. Wilson averages 11 points a game and you like him. You like Gallo who is soft and we will see what kind of defender he is in this league. What does Wilson have the excites you and thinks he can be a starter on a championship team. To me he is inconsistent, no feel for the game, takes bad shots and likes to fire up threes and not do much more. I think if Gallo get tougher he can shoot the ball and has a good feel but he is really soft at this monment. Shooting 43% from the field and 32 from three makes you a very poor shooter.

King, what evidence do you have that shows Wilson wont improve after basically one full season in the league and what evidence do you have that shows that Gallo isn't tough?

Here is part of Knickerblogger's report card for Gallo.

Just to expand things, I ran two queries from Basketball Reference to get some more similar players. The first of players 6-10 or taller who grabbed less than 5 rebounds per 36, and the second of players who hit 44% of their threes while attempting 6.0 or more per 36. The latter produced only 4 other players, the former 49, and surprisingly a lot fit Gallinari’s mold: Hedo Turkoglu, Rashard Lewis, Peja Stojakovic, Brent Barry, Danny Ferry, and Cliff Robinson. Although the Knicks were probably hoping for more out of the #6 pick, it’s not a bad group to be in. Consider that the aforementioned players have been cogs on teams that have all made it to the Finals.

Wilson didn't average 11 points a game - he averaged 14 points a game. It's Larry Hughes that averaged 11 points a game last season. And in his second season at 22 years old, Chandler shot 33% from behind the arc which isn't great but not bad. Hughes did shoot better, but in his second season, he just shot 22% from three point range. And Chandler is a good defender and plays three positions. He's a fine young player with a lot of upside.

Hughes cant shoot the ball and I dont think Wilson can. I think he needs to attack the rim more and get to the line more. Instead he likes to sit out behind the arc and shoot three

David has been a double-double in another system playing under 30 minutes a game. If Lee isnt a starter on a playoff team then no one on the Knicks team is. He is the best player on the team and you cant really argue with that. If he plays this year with the Knicks he will be leading scorer and rebounder and may even lead the team in blocks. No one on the Knicks team shot above 45% percvent last year you cant win games if you can shoot the ball straight

Lee has his limitations- especially on D. I still like him as a player, but you lose most of your credibility with your comment about him possibly leading the team in blocks.

i don't know if I would characterize Lee as the best player on the Knicks and I think a few other players have more potential to be better players in the long run than David.

I don't think David is a starter on a playoff team that will go anywhere cause of his defensive weaknesses, which can always change, and I don't know why you would associate that concept with other players on the team - it really isn't a 1-to-1 comparison and conclusion.

I think Harrington will outscore Lee and possibly Gallo, but who knows. David blocked a shot every forth game; Chandler, Jefferies, Curry, Harrington all do that already.
