Chad Ford said in an Insider column yesterday that Flynn blew Sacramento away in their workout. He said they liked him a lot better than Jennings, who apparently impressed in Golden State. If Rubio's off the board it doesn't look like it'd be so shocking if the Kings took Flynn.

Doug Gottlieb in his Top10 had Flynn going to Sacto at 4. I'm sorry but that's stupid, trade down and take Flynn later.

i'm guessing SAC was working out guys like Flynn only because they were considering trading down in this draft to get max value, sorta maybe why the Knicks worked out guys like Ty Lawson, Jonny Flynn, Toney Douglas, Leo Lyons, Dante Cunningham, and Tywain McKee yesterday... all these teams are just doing their due diligence, but i guess it's possible Flynn could have wowed them so much they just take him at #4 when no one projected him to go that high, sorta like how OKL took Westbrook last year.

Nah, I agree with you TMS but I personally could see how Westbrook went #4 last year. I like Flynn and all but he's not a Top10 pick in this draft, maybe not even Top15.

imagine:

trading the # 8 + Mobley's insured contract to Memphis for Darko & the # 2 OR to Washington for Brendan Haywood & the # 5

then acquiring 2 picks in the 20s for $3mm each

They walk out the draft with something like:

Rubio at 2 OR Curry at 5
Haywood OR Darko
Omar Casspi
Wayne Ellington

plus Lee & Nate as trade assets in July.

I didn't see any workouts scheduled for him either. So, basically, he had his measurements taken at the day 2 combine and thats it?

At #8, if Curry or Jennings are there you grab them. If not take Derozan.

No to Hill. No to Evans.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Its the complete opposite with me. I love the draft. One of the best days of the year. I can't wait for it. I won tickets to Tommy Dees draft party at the 40-40 club.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

i think if Rubio & Curry are off the board then the Knicks will end up trading down & you could see a guy like Flynn or Lawson ending up here afterall.

I've been studying all the players recently and really would not mind ending up with Jordan Hill, Jonny Flynn, Brandon Jennings, James Harden and probably Stephen Curry.

The one thing that gets me about Curry is that I don't see any amazing handles on him and you have to be a good ball handler in the NBA, especially if you're a small guard. I don't like Nate but the guy possesses good dribbling skills. He doesn't use them to his advantage but the point is I hope Curry is more than just a shooter. Most of the highlights are him shooting. I only saw one Davidson game last year so I'm not the king on Curry but I've seen a lot more of the others.

Who I don't like/soured on - Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday, Demar DeRozan, Gerald Henderson, DaJuan Blair.

Who I want to have if we have a chance at him - Ricky Rubio

Who I would take if we had another 1st round pick later in the draft - Terrence Williams, Earl Clark(I know he's going lottery but you never know), Jeff Teague, Ty Lawson. If we had another pick and guys on my "don't like" list were there then I would definitely take one of them because their talent is worth the rist there but not at 8.

Still analyzing point-guard talent, the Knicks are trying to bring in UCLA freshman point guard Jrue Holiday for a second workout, The Post has learned.

I love the draft but after all is said and done it usually falls with little suprises and day of trades like the good old days. Sign and trades delay the fun.

If I was Memphis--if Minnesota was really offering Kevin Love for pick 2 I would do it+ I would take their best second rounder. Kevin Love--if he stayed in school--couldve just as easily been pick 1. They need a PF and Love played really well second part of the year. I trust taking Love over anyone at 2 with what they have.

Not to be over looked...can't have a guy come back if he wasn't high on the list. Maybe another guard looked good and they needed to re-evaluate Holiday again....interesting
