Hooray! Stephen Curry aka role player off the bench is all ours! Championship here we come!

Please, trade the pick. Trade the pick with Eddy Curry. Just do it.

Right on! Oh boy, now we can pick the next Eddie House! Woo Hoo!

oohah

eddie house?

oohah, have you watched curry play? the comparison doesn't fit other than shooting (sort of).

[Edited by - PresIke on 05-19-2009 9:21 PM]

Yes I have watched Curry play plenty. Okay, here is a better comparison: Oh Boy! We get the next Jason Terry except not as good!

oohah

jason terry is a little better comparison, but curry is a better passer.

We weren't winning a chip with ANY of these guys. And Curry will be the best player (for us) at 8. And /Curry has just as good a chance of becoming a Bibby as he does a House. But whatever keep hating.

It would be interesting if Thabeet drops to 8 though, but I think OKC will take him or at least they should.

And these comparisons are funny not just because Curry has much more pg skills than these guys but he's also a much better shooter than thees guys ever were in college (or now for that matter).

Getting Jason Terry at the 8th pick in this particular draft should be cause for celebration.

If we're laying our hopes on Stephen Curry, we got problems. He will not do much in the NBA and neither will guys like Tyreke Evans or Derozan. This draft is going to be just as bad as the 2000 draft. Remember that one? Kenyon Martin was the only guy who made the all-star team selected in the lottery from that year. this draft is terrible and I've said it from day 1. If we didn't get Rubio or Griffin we should trade the pick and I stand by that stance. Nobody in this draft besides those 2 piques my interest.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Curry is an NBA player for one skill and one skill only: Shooting. That is why I brought up House.

Curry would have to improve all of his other skills one hell of a lot for those to be part of the equation why anyone would pick him.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Thabeet would need a bad medical report for him to drop that far.

Curry will be gone by the time the Knicks pick. Just wait until they start working the players out. He has the game that will translate to the NBA quicker than most in the draft.

No he won't, look at the order, who's gonna take him?

Do you think he compares favorably to Bayless? I don't.

He could be. He has a lot of offensive ability, production and most importantly efficient production.

Bottom line is Curry's a smart coachable player who's shooting and passing skills are off the charts. He's gonna go off under D'Antoni. Watch.
Again look at the order, which one of those teams is taking Curry before the 8th pick?

If they are, and Griffin, Rubio, Thabeet, Hill and Harden are also gone that would mean Jennings and DeRozan were available.

Conspiracy talk is silly. The best shot ANYONE had was 1 in 4.

yeah, and what andrew pointed out. if all the teams witness the drawing, how does that make it a conspirasy against their own teams' interests?

stern couldn't even bribe them because the amount of $ they would lose from not getting the top pick can't be enough that he would offer.

all teams have a poor chance at getting the top pick.

The reason why the system was put into place was because teams were brokering deals in the backroom. Money talks in these leagues. Nothing else matters. The league was built on backroom deals. Red Auerbach made a reputation for his backroom deals and one reason why he detested this open lottery selection showcase for the public.

Sacremento at 4 could take Curry Minnesota we'll find out but my gut instinct is Curry and Evans will not be there

and enough with the conspirasy stuff...c'mon

yeah....all 14 teams witness the drawing. Conspiracy talk is silly.

It matters not when you control the process. It like showing a kid a magic trick.

and what proof do you have of such claims today??

*sfx*

crickets

the process?

what process is there other than the ping pong balls in front of their face?

Ping Pong balls in front of their face? Balls are not drawn in front of the public. Audit partners are there to view the process to attest to validity of it. That's the assurance the "public" has. They have a couple of guys back there to view it but most teams don't even bother to put someone back there. When it comes to the MLB and NBA, I know from personal experience they show you want they need to show you for any attest or audit engagement.

Right. So they would fix it so one of the league's most pathetic and irrelevant franchises wins the lottery instead of a more well-known one and that a team with literally no fans and thinking of relocating wins #2. If they were gonna do a "fix" for the small market teams, they would have given OKC #1. The #3 pick is pointless in this draft.

Sacramento is on record saying they need toughness they're gonna take Hill bank on it. Minnesota? Maybe but I think they'll take Derozan since Brewer seems like a bust. And remember anyone considering Curry will probably take Jennings first. Curry's a Knick.
