I think Caron proved his haters right this season. With Arenas finally out of the picture, Caron successfully managed to get his team to the worst record in the league. I wouldn't touch Butler or Jamison right now with a ten foot pole. Arenas fans rejoice, that team really missed you. The funny thing about Butler, he has little Marbury thing going on. His former teams seem to do better after he is traded.

Butler's not a premier guy u build around, but he's still 1 of the best SF's in the game & a very nice 2nd or 3rd scoring option on any team

They were pretty good without Arenas last year. I think they guy who truly proved his worth was Brendan Haywood.

Imagine this: Washington lands Hasheem Thabeet. Now that is worth a pants-crapping.

You're bugging. By Wilkins 3rd year he had some real guns, and when did Crawford ever slam it on Jordan's Mouth-Hole?

I wish I could find a clip of this reverse one-handed dunk Wilkins did on Barkley's noggin one time: He rose up going across the lane, turned his back to the basket, brought the ball up Statue of Liberty style, then brought it down between his legs, then brought it back up and jammed it on Barkley.

Wilkins was no genius, but he knew how to take it to the rack!

6'5" 198 lbs., long arms, smooth to the rim... very similar to Jamal IMO... i agree he probably had better hops than Jamal but definitely not as good overall... physically i'm just saying they look a lot more similar.

Not as good as Jamal!?!? "Jamal, I've never been part of a winning team ever Crawford?" We used to put Wilkins on Jordan!! Crawford can't guard me!! Crawford has never shot as well as Wilkins did as a rookie. Crawford was allergic to driving.
Come on TMS!

However, they do have similarities: Both black, 2 arms and 2 legs, 2 eyes, a mouth and a nose, American, played in the NBA for the Knicks.

Wait, did you just say Craw and Balkman are both black?

I might be off on that. I'll consult the chart.

Dude, when Wilkins used to shoot the ball outside of 10 feet, the whole Garden would moan. He was a bad shooter.

Is that Chris Jackson in the background of Gerald? What's he looking at? The action is the other way?

We were spoiled Lil' Bitches back then. If we had year #2 Wilkins now after all those years of "Crawford-I-am-the-worst-shooter-in-history" we would be leading the "Wilkins is a future all-star" petition up in here!

Yes, that's Chris Jackson A.K.A. Stephen Curry is not as good as me.

I don't even know what to tell you. Crawford is a better shooter than Wilkins ever was. Wilkins could take it to the rack tho.

I don't know what to tell you except that somehow the statistics seem to disagree with you.

Crawford has a higher 3 point FGP (Wilkins:.316, Crawford:.347) both of them were not very good in that respect. Considering Crawford hangs his hat on his long-range game I would say he was not a better shooter. Certainly not better enough to dis Wilkins by comparison.

Gerald Wilkins is a career .450 shooter including some really bad years after he ruptured his achilles, Crawford is at: .404. 'Nuff said?

Tell me how that stats are inaccurate, I'm very interested to know.

Shooting percentage includes inside game. When I say shooter I mean away from the basket. Your stats are meaningless.

So the fact that Crawford shot a measly career .347 compared to Wilkins' putrid .316 from 3 is meaningless? That is quite an argument sir.

I'll give you that Crawford was a 3 point better shooter than Wilkins, which is like saying that Bush Sr. was a better president than Bush Jr.!

Wilkins could go to the rack, far better than Crawford, but he still had to make mid-range jumpers, which he did more consistently than Crawford. It's easy to forget because he was so frequently cramming it on people, but he was a solid all-around player as opposed to Crawford who is pretty much a streak shooter and nothing else.

Seriously Panos, you're telling me that you would not take Wilkins over Crawford? Don't forget about defense...

so basically, the stats point to the fact that Jamal was a better long range shooter which is indicated by his higher shooting % from long range & that Gerald was better at taking it to the rack, thus resulting in a higher overall FG %, just like me & Panos said... but whatever dude, if u won't even let the stats sway your opinion on this one nothing me or Panos say will make a damn bit of difference either.

no one said Wilkins wasn't head & shoulders above Jamal defensively btw... but Wilkins was never a guy who could take over in crunchtime & carry your team to a win... yes, Jamal is a pisspoor defender, but the guy can score the rock... i don't even wanna get into this whole thing again lest Cosmic come to this thread along w/MS & make this another hate on Jamal thread.
