I can take this loss, trying to beat a team back to back is difficult, especially after being embarrassed last game.

Nah, this loss is pretty much unacceptible. If the Knicks are gonna make the playoffs they have to hold serve against all the teams that have a worse record than them and pretty much all the sub .500 teams in the NBA. Any time they lose a winnable game it throws them further back. No margin for error now.

I for one think Jeffries should never take an outside shot.

1 for 9 from Larry. Thanks man!

Hughes wasn't the problem Knicks defense, Raps hitting their shots and hustling and Chandler having an off game was the problem.

Hughes goes 1-9 putting up some questionable shots in his first game as a Knick and somehow it's Chandler's fault.

Not blaming Chandler, we missed his offense. The Raps just were better today.......Jeez!!

haven't missed a game all year... Duhon's run the pick & roll w/D Lee all season long & so did Marbs last year w/Zach, what's your point here?

[Edited by - TMS on 02-22-2009 11:07 AM]

TMS, I don't know what you really going after here. Do you want to compare Duhon's best career year to Marbury's worst career year that he barely played as a means to say somehow Duhon is a better player. I mean are you in that much denial.

i'm comparing the player Duhon is now to the player Marbury is now & pointing out the curious turnover criticism you made to say that Marbs is still a better player when the stats show otherwise... never once said Duhon was a better player over his career... stop reaching & find another point to support your argument cuz the last one u made was weak.

[Edited by - TMS on 02-22-2009 11:14 AM]

He has nearly 3 turnovers per game. Where is the BB IQ that everyone stated is obvious. He has just as many unforced turnovers I seen Marbs have in a season at this point. Nate has been even better with this turnover ratio. You don't like the fact that I stating it use the ignore button.

u can state whatever the hell u want, i'm just pointing out ur argument was weak... telling me to use the ignore button is weak too, just saying.

Dude, you have your opinion about Duhon's role on the team vs. Marbury and I have mind. I don't know about my argument being weak because you disagree with it but that is your call. I agree though me telling you about the ignore button is weak. My bad.

no worries, it was nothing personal... just a difference of opinion.

Marb TO/A career is somewhere around 2.55 where Duhon is 2.75 this year.

Poor defense and even worse decision making got us again. There was a lot of little things like Nate playing around with the ball, Duhon throwing up a ridiculously short floater, Al choosing to dunk instead of laying it in at the end of the first half, Jeff losing the ball on a wide open layup.

I know he's been better this season but we can't let Bargs get 28 and 10 on us.

Why no Gallo today? He looked kinda pissed off from the bench there.

Well, at least we got the Pacers tomorrow who don't have Dun and Granger to kill us.

over his career there's no question Marbs has been the better player... last year's stats tell a different story tho, that's all i'm saying.

Noted, but it doesn't always go your way, the Knicks actually played hard, just wasn't their day.

Knicks got hurt on the boards tonight. In the few minutes Wilcox got I thought he was a beast hitting the glass. He got brought down by the fact that he had to play all of his minutes with Hughes out there, who was forcing the game and playing like ****. I think if Wilcox takes over Jeffries minutes we will be a lot more imposing inside.

Marbury has been a starter his entire career up to this season. Duhon this season alone has already passed him based on your stat. Remember up until three years ago. Marbury was a 20ppg and 8 assist guy. Marbs is the superior player but I can go with Cosmic and say that Duhon is the superior teammate. But something is wrong with that image the last couple of weeks IMHO.

Wilcox should definitely be starting for Jeffries after a few games.

I dunno...some players on the Knicks today really didn't bring it. Duhon and Chandler for 2 just seemed out of focus. Certainly the Knicks weren't help by throwing in a cold Larry Hughes either. Knicks played really dumb with some of their shot selection and let up a lot of easy transition baskets.

Come on TMS, why are you using last year's stats. We all know about the Marbury situation last year with his father and Isiah.

I'd be much more inclined to chalk this loss up to a total LACK OF DEFENSE.

Raptors took and made no fewer than 10 wide open 3s. WIDE open.
Then in the 3rd and 4th we start letting them go lazily and easily to the rim for a layup line.

Defense all the way in this one. It's tough to work new players into a rotation but this was all on the defense. Absolutely lazy piss poor defense. I don't understand what the idea was today with defense but it was TERRIBLE.

He said that just because they're both Italian doesn't mean he has to put him in the game. He's right.

It's not like Gallo is saving this game today. Nobody was. Not Tim Thomas, not Zach Randolph, not Jamal Crawford, not Malik Rose, not by not playing Hughes. No one.

Zero defense, giving up 30 points to wide open threes and another 12 to easy uncontested layups cost us this game.

I think that's the obvious problem with today.

Lack of defense. we let bum azz parker get 16 shots? wTF

we let bargnani get too many open looks

Lee missed too many easy shots.

nate was off

Al was hot, the only bright spot..

chandler was invisible

gallo zero minutes

and both lost minutes to hughes who was abysmal, just horrible..

wilcox was fine..

Jeffries is horrible..

bad loss

bad coaching today if you ask me.. no adjustments whatsoever..
