My only knock on Lopez is his motor and lift off the ground. Outside of this he has been impressive. Eric Gordon would have been nice since it's obvious Crawford, Nate, and Q needed to be moved. The kid can shoot and he plays perimeter D. He checked Mayo tonight and handled him, while offensively doing damage. Another rookie improving each month.

Gallo was the main guy who lost that game for us. It was a 1 point led when he came in. Ray Allen went off on him with 7-9 points quickly and that was all she wrote. Doesnt mean Gallo wont be a good player in his career but the exaggeration of his skills is what it is right now. He's got a nice long shot but he looks gangly and awkward otherwise. It does not look in any way that he is going to be able to use that same dribble he did in Europe here effectively with the speed of the players. Maybe Im wrong. I don't see why he cant be a solid rotation player but Im having a hard time believing star potential--I don't know what scout saw this--maybe the same guy who picked Frye. Maybe Gallo will be playing for Portland in two years?

Hahah briggs come one man, wad do you want him to do? He had a hand up in his face most of the time and Allen just burried them ice cold, he was on fire. Gallo just did the best that he can but thus far i think he's an average defender at best and relying on smart and his length more than anything.

What's pisses me off is that despite his extended minutes, we havent had a chance to REALLY see what this kid can do, nobody seems to look for him and from his body language he looks like he doesnt expect to receive a pass anytime soon either. From glimpses of his play (his hesitation move while driving to the hooop for the layup against the celts looked nifty and i remember a nice behind the back dribble he pulled of against the Bulls) i think we can safely rule him out as the next Nikos waadhisname and Lampe but whether he turns out to be Dirk, or just a Dirk/Peja lite or the next Pavlovic we'll never now for sure from his play thus far. From what i can see he doesnt stink up the place and once in a while he's shown glimpses of something there but thats it, nothing to draw a conclusion or really make me exicted yet. I would really love to see more of him this year...so at least i can hop on to his bandwagon and give him my own nickname like misterearl and the "mayor" :P

it would be interesting to note that Lopez has scored 18.2 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots in his last four games.

Boy, the guys on this board who are kicking themselves right now.
I'll never trust this' team again.

When are people going to realize that the Knicks have Curry.

Who?!

Oh yeah, that guy.

Here's the real funny thing. Chris Dudley had more effort than Curry and Jerome put together.

Brook Lopez - 19 pts, 12 rebs, 3 asts and 1 blk tonight.

And if you're wondering who he was playing against, it was Dwight Howard.

All of this information is going to start making Gallo look bad after awhile.

That's funny because it looks like he was owning the likes of Patrick O'Bryant, Leon Powe and Glen Davis in that video since the Nets were getting blow out from the first quarter. Nice try though.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Sounded like you were kind of approving there for a minute. But no' not G! Why would you do that?

Auh, Lopez if I'm not mistaken slammed in KG's face a couple times there. cough, cough.

Oh? That must've been in another video. All I saw him was dominating scrubs.

Anyway, nobody is denying he is a good player. He's also not directly from Europe and dealing with a back injury since the summer. Have you ever heard of patience? A guy like Dirk would have never survived here under fans like you. Luckily the people who go to MSG have more patience with him than you do. But keep drinking that nasty kool aid your pals have been making.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Look Gallo was destin to be the pick. Mike D wanted this (friends with the father) and it didn't matter how well Lopez was playing. I could think of 5 players who were better than Gallo and we could have picked. This is the politics of the game and it had nothing to do with talent. Because of this political BS that is why Lebron and the other free agents in 2010 ain't coming to New York.

Stop breathing into the phone man. What are you rambling about? I think Gallo has loads of talent. I just think he's being mishandled right now.

And you got to admit that Lopez wouldn't of been such a bad pick up after all. It's all coming down to a disk and how that disk reacts on this team. Meanwhile, if you don't mind, I'd like to give my daily report. hmm!

Look!! What was done is done. I am willing to cut slack for Gallo. It's not his fault that the Knick don't play defense. It's the coaches fault. I think that until we start learning how to close out games and play defense, we ain't going nowhere.

Interesting he keeps performing fairly well and guess what.....

D.J. Augustin had 27pts 6ast 1stl 1rst game back from I believe a stomach injury that put him out almost a month. I thought he was too short to play in this league? He was playing stretches as a 2guard.

I guess we have to start up an ultimatebobcats.com and an ultimateclippers.com and an ultimateheat.com.

Nah. I think especially for you, there is an ultimatedbags.com available. On that site, the posters usually come out and throw insults at the team/players primarily after losses and the site is usually dead when the team wins. Then of course they all have a roundtable discussion about why 20 year old rookies from Europe are busts half a season into their 1st year. The nights are usually ended with people thinking up new nicknames. I think the latest one is Mike D'AnTony Soprano.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Many of us have been waiting on you since signing up to talk about basketball instead of trying to identify and criticize the personalities of those who post here, in which you do an incredibly ABYSMAL job of.

If you're capable of discussing the talents of the prospects from this draft it would be in your best interest to do so or move on to threads full of empty talk.
