If you did not see this movie, you need to see it. Robert Downey, Jr. was freaking hilarious trying to play a sterotypical black man. You have to watch it 2-3 times to really appreciate his acting.

Robert Downey was great in that movie. I personally love Ben Stiller but I can see where some would not. He has a "different" style of humor. Tom Cruise was great. I just don't find Jack Black to be funny. Not one of my favorite movies but there were some definite laugh out loud moments.

yeah, Jack Black usually annoys the hell outta me, but i actually found him kinda funny in this one too, which was a first... Tom Cruise was awesome... i wasn't expecting him to play that kind role ever, but he shocked me.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

So, Bip's post was only about accepting Gallo or was it about being fair. I am still confuse. If he fails it won't because someone wants him to fail it is because of his own doing or circumstances. That is the way of life in every facet. Whether someone gives him the chance or not, doesn't like him or not. Each man is responsible for his own actions. Same with him, Chandler, Curry, Duhon or anyone else on that team.

Of course I support Gallo. He's on my team, and I pray that he turns out to be a star. My take on Gallo is this. He definitely has some skills and seems to be showing a good feel for the game. I like what I've seen so far, but he has so far to go. NBa players in the past have shown more skills and more awareness early in their careers and bombed. Others have shown less potential and had 15 year successful careers. Far too early to judge this guy.

That being said, I'm okay with fans being excited over the guy. It's their guy. He's on their team. I would expect that. As long as you aren't declaring him the next Bird or the next Dirk it's okay to beleive that he can turn into something. It's also okay to think he will be a bumb. It's all good. But regardless, we all have to wait and see. I still do think that some of the people on this site are rooting against his success and aren't aware of it.

Cruise and Downey took roles that I'd never guess they could even think of doing. I give Stiller more credit as director than actor. He showed a lot of creativity in coming up with this concept.
