If you wanna believe we will lose Lee for nothing because a team will max him out for the sake of getting him and ruining NY's 2010 plans, do it. It means zip that Lee is a restricted free agent and that we can always sign and trade him, in the worst of cases. Nah, the end is coming.
If you wanna believe Zach is the best PF in the universe and we made a terrible mistake when we traded him for Tim Thomas AND Cuttino Mobley, when both would've provided solid play AND salary space in 2010, fine. It matters zip that by doing the trade at that time you enable yourself to trade all those players by the deadline because of the 60 days rule. It also matters nada that the Knicks had a bad break with Mobley, who had to retire. I could believe the Knicks would be better with a healthy Mobley playing but, why suppose those crazy things when you have such a clear view of reality.
And lets not mention that if the Knicks get the 4.4 mill DPE they will have another strong weapon to make trades in the deadline. But no, the Knicks blew it because they had the best PF in the world and let him go. Those 20-10 players don't grow in trees, but lets never get into them or else we might they could be the most overrated and empty 20-10 in the NBA.
We are 5-12 after the trade. Atrocious. But where we really going anywhere with Craw and Zach? If your answer is yes, I guess this is blue.
