Briggs, check yourself bro. You're always living in a fantasy land pretending to think everything you say is right and that's how the Earth turns. No, it's not. You're wrong. It doesn't take 10 years to find a rebounding cross of Antoine Walker and Ricky Davis. It surely does not. What was the rush to trade him? What rush? He took all summer and found nothing. The Clippers were the only team that wanted Zach and terrible contract. Look how great the Clippers have been doing since they added superstar Zach on that roster. The empty stat man is still doing his thing I see. Same thing with Crawford. So keep living in fantasy land Briggs. That's all you do anyway. That or proposing trades for your prized possessions like Anthony Randolph or telling us how amazing Andrew Bynum is.

Unless the Knicks have Lebron on speed dial--it will be VERY hard to find a player better than Zach. Zach was here during IT for one year which I personally discount--how was he playing for us this year? How is he playing for the Clippers? Does anyone really think that Chris Bosh is even better than Randolph? No Right now Zach Randolph is playing better than ANY PF in the NBA and were not talking 2 game sample--the Clippers who are playing without a bench are one dumb Eric Gordon mistake of winning 6 in a row. We were 6-3 and shouldve been 7-3 if the management cared to fill the roster out so we didnt have dead tired players. Zach wasnt here for 8 years and it will be hard to replace him. Also I keep hearing about Gapopinari--we dont even know if Gallinari is NBA material off the bench! People talk about him as if it is a foregone conclusion he is a star.

What's with the man-crush on Zach? Now you keep talking about 5-12 like that really means something and you are willing to "discount?" 23-59 or whatever the heck it was last season???? That was with your rockstar in the line-up? So the rock star gets the discount just because Briggs sez so? Are you really saying Zach is better then D Wade, Bosh and Amare? Because if you are you need to pass the bong, dude.

Chris Bosh is NOT better than Randolph. Right now Randolph is playing like a top 3 PF in the league if we consider Howard and Duncan C's. Chris Bosh is not better than Randolph--they are players that produce similar production. So why did we trade Randolph?

In the nBA a lot of time it's putting the right group of players together to get the best out of their talent. They paired Zach with Camby and the synergy has been incredible. Think about this--the first guy off of the cLippers bench is Mardy Collins--as in they dont have one. If they trade Chris Kaman into a 2-3 man bench and Camby/David stay healthy--not only will the Clippers get back into it--there is not one team in the west with superior talent. They have to flip Kaman for to do this but Kaman should bring back what they need.

I think you try to win and then figure it out afterwords. The second we were FLEECED for Zach--we gave up the season and while we have some cap space I dont like our positioning with all of our guys expiring

Sorry but should people take this post seriously?

Your indecision in terms of how you believe an NBA team should be formed, from "blowing it up since no one's worth a penny" to the "you should've never traded him, he is the best in the universe" once the guy is in another team reminds me of a music video where they say something like "you change your mind like a girl changes clothes".

You're right--the second we traded Randolph we shouldve went all the way with it. Next up we will lose Lee and have nothing in the middle. You cant trade Zach Randolph for Tim Thomas--that was a horrible deal. At the MINIMUM we shouldve let them go to the deadline with him---except *possible* cap space--what else did we gain? We are 5-12 since the trade--we cannot compete in the post and rely heavily on 3 point shooting. If we make them we play well if we miss them we get blown out.

If you wanna believe we will lose Lee for nothing because a team will max him out for the sake of getting him and ruining NY's 2010 plans, do it. It means zip that Lee is a restricted free agent and that we can always sign and trade him, in the worst of cases. Nah, the end is coming.

If you wanna believe Zach is the best PF in the universe and we made a terrible mistake when we traded him for Tim Thomas AND Cuttino Mobley, when both would've provided solid play AND salary space in 2010, fine. It matters zip that by doing the trade at that time you enable yourself to trade all those players by the deadline because of the 60 days rule. It also matters nada that the Knicks had a bad break with Mobley, who had to retire. I could believe the Knicks would be better with a healthy Mobley playing but, why suppose those crazy things when you have such a clear view of reality.

And lets not mention that if the Knicks get the 4.4 mill DPE they will have another strong weapon to make trades in the deadline. But no, the Knicks blew it because they had the best PF in the world and let him go. Those 20-10 players don't grow in trees, but lets never get into them or else we might they could be the most overrated and empty 20-10 in the NBA.

We are 5-12 after the trade. Atrocious. But where we really going anywhere with Craw and Zach? If your answer is yes, I guess this is blue.

I totally agree here as well. Im not sure why MDA thinks were better with this roster then before. I guess he saw some success with al and TT on some post ups against guards (see nets and bulls game) and came away thinking he stuck gold.
Yet this roster is beggeing for either a real center or a real sg, and they wont address niether.
Who knows The raptors could have fell like there going to lose bosh and been willing to swap Zach and chnadler for bosh, so they wont walk away with nothing if he decides to bounce.

Im pretty sure there's going to be several teams that are willing to sign and trade some of these super stars so there not left in rebuild mode.

For those of you keeping the Zach Randolph best PF in the league watch, and also the rise of the best team in the West, the Clippers, they just played our old friends, the Bucks. No match for the Clips, obviously.

Final score: Bucks 119, Clips 85

Randolph MVP watch- 4pts, 6 rebs, 2-11 fg in 24:37 mins.

We are so doomed without him.
