I know everyone like Al Harrington right now, but he's garbage. Get the damn ball

Why is he garbage?
Jerome James is garbage.

Harrington is a very good player with some flaws, but he is useful for a team like ours. We are just missing too many other key parts!

Breen said that the Knicks were doing a lot of talking on D, and then forced a 24 second violation!

And then

Al" Mr. Garbage" Harrington nails a 3 at the buzzer to cut the lead to 1!

Well, okay, maybe garbage was a bit harsh but this is a game thread. I'm not meditating on fairness before I post in these bad boys. He's okay. Is that better?

I hear you, I'm just sayin...

I like Harrington so i'm obviously biased, but i see him giving us more than Craw did, because he doesn't dominate the ball and still gets his points.

He isn't a good rebounder but he is more of a wing player with a little size. He's athletic and looks for his teammates.

What's the big beef? Maybe a bit of a chucker, but no where near Craw levels..

And there he goes again with the drive. I like that part of his game which...Craw...who i liked less...barely relied on.

I don't mean to make it like I'm spewing venom. I'm just getting into the game (WTF, did I just say that?!?!?! been a minute) and everyone seems to love Harrington.... but to me he's kind of like Tim Thomas-lite. If he played aggressive all the time, didn't love the outside so much, he'd live up to his full talent.

I know he's not as bad as Tim or Craw, but I have similar feelings. He could have been real good IMO

Tim Thomas Lite?

Sorry man, I don;t see that at all. Tim Thomas is a soft player when it comes to going to the basket. Harrington is more aggressive by far. He's also always played with other bigger scorers so maybe he has taken a back seat. Since coming here after a few games he's really stepped up for us, and helped us in every game.

Where do you see this Tim Thomas-Lite thing?

I think Al, like Tim, has been a guard in a forwards body throughout his career, and has often been guilty of not playing a like a player who's 6'9 245 should. He has skills, but I understand Supreme's position here. I've felt the same way about Al...a lot of talent but a guy too content to chuck 3's and take low percentage shots when a guy his size could be doing so much more closer to the basket.

With that kinda luck, were talking championship. Man needs to buy a lottery ticket tonight.

Just lastly on Al, one doesn't have to be a superstar to be a very good player, and somehow be considered a disappointment.

He's a star player, and good teams need star players to do their thing, and carry a team from time to time.

Given we have no superstar, he is stepping up and doing very well for us, and doesn't take as many bad shots as Craw.

I want a backup pg, a sg and a backup C. And I want TT gone.

Other than that, nice effort, as always, Knicks.

Knicks aren't a defensive team, but they do work hard on it and have some nice sequences.
