Maybe Jamal thought it was unfair that KG couldn't play and wanted to even the odds. He decided to skip the game too.

Nah, its not about KG. He seems to do that once every five games. Such is life with Crawford

tought loss

No KG, ray and pierce were average tonight and we still lose

The celtics bench scrubs of scalbrine, powe hurt us. Just shows how undersized and bad we are up front defensively. at least we know where our holes are..

Jamal was a mess, when pressed he and zach go into solo mode

Chandler is becomming a beast, especially when he plays aggressively.

We need some size..

Oh did I say, we need some size.. that can play..

I will be happy when jeffries gets back and gallo is healthy. I am tired of seeing Q start,

Lee needs to come off bench.

The season will continue to be this way until we get healthy and improve some pieces on this team

I will take 6-5

Well, if they are to follow into the footsteps of my prediction of 7-8 in the first 15 games, then they'd have to go 1-3 in the next four. I'll gladly be wrong on this predict.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Well, when we talk about at least not getting blown out, it seems we are regressing to the losing ways. They did put out a fight, but this puts back in perspective the fact that we need to get rid of most of them, Lebron or no Lebron. For example, I'd rather have a consistent shooting guard than a guy that hits 45 pts one night and the next two disappears.

Your kidding, right?

Of course! Well, about the consistent shooting guard no. Its frustrating to rely so much on an inconsistent guy like Crawford.Come on, 3 pts? Still taking some crazy horrible shots? We need consistency at SG.

You can't pin it all on Jamal, this team needs some inside presence to keep the teams from getting easy baskets and dominating the paint, until that happens this team will live and die by the jumpshot and 3 pointers. We need consistency in defending the paint, not just from the SG, it's not all Jamal's fault.

I'm not trying to blame Jamal for everything. This isn't a post about all our deficiencies because it would be looong, I'm just saying that for what we are trying to achieve down the road, Jamal is hardly the answer at the 2. But of course we have way more pressing matters than him right now.

Jamal is a hot or cold shooter. He can't be counted on. So is Zach Randolph. Our "stars" are good one day, **** the next. As long as we rely on these kond of "leaders" we will be mediocre. No matter how good D'Antoni is. I like the plan for 2010. Let's get a superstar who is always the man, like Dirk the other night. If we get Lebron and can keep Chandler and get a shot blocker and role players (keep Nate) we'll be a good team. Until then we'll be hot and cold and intimidated by guys like Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, who are not that god individually.

That's just my two cents.

A number of players simply did not bring it tonight and it was amazing that we were in the game at all given that.

However they fought all the way back and we had plenty of opportunities to come in and steal this game. It just didn't happen.

The Celtics have to be given credit because they played tough defense as usual and so far this Knick team has proven it can't find a way to stick to it's offensive game plan in the face of pressure and they all regress to the stand around 1-1 style of play.

Not much to analyze in this game beyond that IMO. Time to move on and try to learn something from these teams that defend us so well - our next opponent being one whose already done it to us this season.

The difference in tonight's game?

how about the Celtics are just a better team?

I don't know about that, but in this case, when you score only 3 points, after being a 20 to 30 type of guy in the last several games, that tells me that he didn't show up tonight. We needed 13 points from him to win by one.

we also needed Zach not to miss 10 shots... we also needed our frontcourt to play a little defense... the fact is that Jamal is what he is, highly inconsistent, he's gonna make u wanna kiss him 1 night then make u wanna throw a shoe at him the next... it's like u guys expect him to be consistent when u know he's not going to be... is that being reasonable? i don't think so... it's like me getting angry at Zach for not playing any defense when i already know he's not a defensive player... yeah, he can afford to show a little more effort on D but i know it's not gonna happen, so why sweat over it? we all know how flawed this team is & guys getting upset over the fact that we didn't beat the defending champs, even w/o their best player, seems a little silly to me.

Flawed or not, you are always gonna root for the team to win, and it IS frustrating because we made a comeback at the end that could've gotten us the W. But we know this is a work in progress so we'll see.

i know it's frustrating, believe me i get frustrated too when i see Jamal being inconsistent just like i get frustrated when i see Zach letting guys waltz into the paint to get easy layups & D Lee standing there like an idiot w/his arms in the air while guys get and 1's, but we all shoulda known to expect this level of inconsistency out of this roster before the season even began... until we address the roster issues don't expect these guys to turn into something they're not, meaning Jamal's not gonng become a consistent player & Zach's not gonna become a defensive minded guy, etc... it is what it is... i'm just glad they've shown me they actually care about winning games this season for the most part & are slowly starting to master the new system... that to me is a good thing... losses like this to the defending champs are not a step back in our development... if anything, it's just another notch in the overall learning process this team needs to go through.

Nice effort in the 4th quarter but it was needed in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters too.

And come on, we really need an intimidator down low. We can't keep letting the Kendrick Perkinses and Leon Powes of the league go off on us like that.

Standing O for Wilson Chandler. He's the only one that played all 4 quarters today.

I love how Chandler pushed Nate out of the way to man up Pierce. It showed me a lot.

when did this happen? i didn't catch it on Cosmic's replay vid.
