I definitely found a new and serious front court prospect today in Greg Monroe out of G Town. Very close to an athletic 7 feeter--perfect for this style of play---he's a name who will get hot and looks like he can be a sure fire lottery pick at 6/10-245.--the whole board is going to flip around but he is a guy who is going to rise as fast as you can on the charts with his package.

THis is a pretty thin draft class no??? Everything from draftnet and express is mostly about players I wouldn't be to excited about drafting in the top ten at this point of the season.

How can you call this a thin class? Thabeet and Jennings aren't even projected to go top 5

Has anyone mentioned Jrue Holiday? 6-4 200 pounds, UCLA combo guard. He is my pick if he declares early! I think he might be a Dwayne Wade prototype minus the injuries. He has a complete game, makes solid decisions on the floor. Although not a standout individual defensive player, he gives a real strong effort on D. Plays the passing lanes, and will not get beat easily.

Most importantly, he plays fundamental basketball.. he doesn't always look for the highlight play when a simple play is equally effective. Very smart, and sound offensive game.

One guy who didn't play much as a freshman and who is off to a very good start is Kansas center Cole Aldrich of Kansas. So far this season, he's averaging 27 minutes, 16 points (60% fg), 9 boards, 2.6 blocks and is pretty good defensively. He's still pretty raw, but he's someone who may be available if we don't have a very early pick and who will fill a need at center.

If the Knicks have a very high second or acquire a very low first as in 28-35--I would be taking a very strong look at Chris Johnson. I think he is an nba player and fits this system at the back up PF who can transition to C well.

Curry 44-3-3-2 Davidson 72 NCST 67--it doesn't matter who they play--he's able to impact and give them a chance to win against any team with below average teammates.

Yup, another amazing game for Curry. And, oddly, even with 44 points, his stats don't quite reflect his play. His very smart play made a group of scrubs into, oh, an average ACC team. Bob McKillop deserves some credit, he's a great coach but I don't think any other player than Curry on the Davidson team would make walk-on at NC State. (I was following the NC State boards during the game and a lot of comments were along these lines "Is this a HS team? Whoa, these guys are nicely coached but without Curry, I'm not sure they are a Div. III team." )

I just bought $10 tickets (second row of the 303 section) for the Davidson vs. WV game at MSG on Tuesday from Ticketmaster. I'd rather watch Curry than the current Knicks.
