Gallinari tonight (honest assessment):

Looked lost early when inserted the first time, but when he came back for the second look, I though he looked better. Nice baseline drive for the reverse layup that he missed and played good D - tryed over-playing a play in the post, challenged some shots at the rim. Also was trying to make the right pass out there, another good sign. That's all he's gotta keep doing. Then it's up to the guards to set him up with some looks on offense. I noticed it the other night in the 3 minutes of play - Nate doesn't even look for him. Gotta watch that closely, I hope that doesn't develop into problem.

I do believe he is trying to do too much at once. My advice would be take a note from Dirk. Concentrate on one area and build from there. He has to realize that this is the NBA you not going to get by defensive minded guys. I did notice that Nate looked off him in the corner. Hell Jamal does the same to Chandler all the time too.

Can't wait for Jeffries to return...

ROFL

What about Marbs?.....cant wait to see the Berman's caca nose all up in the Marbury.

I actually love that he's not playing. I'm happy that D'A finally sat him down and told him the deal - even though he's a clown Steph deserves that. So time to move on with Duhon and Mardy at the point, fine with me...

Best stats of night....10 turnovers, 13 stls. This was just one of theose games where nothing goes well. Knicks took 98 shots, they just weren't falling. Every team in the NBA has these types of games. They'll regroup for Sunday

Marbury smiled the whole game.
He said all the right things too. Let's see who blinks on this.

I just say what's on my mind. I don't fall on false hope. I don't have a problem with people that do. If you want to say I am pessimistic, be my guest. But I am just being me. I am being real. I can't believe something I don't.

Will this team be good this year? No. Next year? No. 2010? Maybe.

Trust me, you should see me when I actually trusted Isiah and his team. My post game rants were worse than Eny's.

Did I say any names?

Whatever, dude, that why we are here, aren't we? To say whatever we believe. After a loss, especially after such a horrible performance, anyone can be down. It's not about general expectations, its about being a fan of your team. But I know that these nights will help us long term. We may get a nice draft pick, make a nice couple of trades, discover a diamond in our team. Whatever is best for the Knicks, please.

Ohh well, who's next against the Knicks?

Marbury was smiling because the Knicks got blowon out without him. Plus he gets paid $21 million to wear a suit.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

The second time he got in tonight I'm saying.. I've seen enough tape to see the kid can play. It's up to him to earn it in practice and in his limited minutes in games to show well, then it's up to Mike to play him and up to the players to try and get him going. That's how I see it moving forward...

Yes. With the right people in charge, losing will not be as bad as the Isiah years. When you have a plan lined out and you go about achieving that plan while losing, it makes losing feel much better than just losing with a bunch of overpaid losers and a moron head coach/GM.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

The Sixers had that type of game in their opener, and look how they responded. So yeah, I hope they rebound. But you gotta remain cautiously optimistic with this team, because its either a blowout win or a blowout loss...

It's watchable if there is one player with upside that you can watch develop..Right now the Knicks has nothing...

They need to let Gallinari play 30 MPG. I don't care about anything else. If they want to develop him, he needs to play. He ain't developing playing 5 MPG. He has major upside. Getting him on the court to play is the key.

Yeah, this year does feel a lil better. At least we know no clown is ruining, i mean, running the roster. It may be painfully slow, but I do hope that Plan 2010 happens and we have a real contender soon.

Everyone looked bad tonight. From the starters to Nate and Chandler. Collins actually had some decent minutes I thought. Gallinari had another rough time and Roberson was invisible. I don't get the Malik playing time at all. Is he in D'Antoni future plans? Since he is only playing guys that are.

What other big man do they have? Curry? LOL. Jerome? Bigger LOL. Gallinari is a SF.

I don't know about 30 mins. yet, but overall I agree with you totally. He's the now (the kid was the 6th pick, not 30th pick, not a second rounder, not a league minimum pick up) and the future. PLAY HIM. Decision was made not to send him to the D-league in Reno so far from home - OK, NP, but now he's gotta see some minutes here...

I thought all the talk before the season was that Chandler and Gallinari can play PF. Now Gallinari is restricted to PF. Damn. Put in Ewing.

We can't forget we still have Lee, Nate, Chandler and Gallinari. Maybe none has star potential. Maybe none becomes a starter in this league (Chandler could) but they could still become strong bench players on a contender.

The problem is, that's only 4 players out of 15. Who else could still be here for 2010? ZBo is horrible on defense and takes too many shots. Craw isnt the ideal shooting guard.
