lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Yeah Drew, that was me having my feelings hurt because the Answerman posts his Vegas Vacation update on here, instead of for his true buds from the Times.

I don't begrudge anyone spending their time on the site. I am just astonished daily how often the hater's rhetoric here is actual, verifiable, hate. You got Solace on here today suggesting we shoot Curry and Marbury. And as unhappy as I was in the Layden days with our slow and old team captained by the one-dimensional Allan Houston, I don't recall ever starting a thread making up abusive nicknames for our best player and another who hasn't even pulled on a Knick uni yet.

Its cool, and I know I'm going to be accused of making a big deal out of nothing. But you asked.

You can't convert haters to homers by hanging out with homers. You gotta go where the haters are.

I guess if winning means avoiding all points, bitching about others bitching, and then randomly declaring yourself the winner... yes, I guess you won then.

I just don't get this. If this is true, its a big negative for the season, but Aguirre was spouting off about how Curry was far ahead of where he was last year at this time, and how mature he is now about his work out regimine just last night.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Mark Aguirre interview last night: "Eddy is in great shape and way ahead of schedule. He is growing up. He also called me numerous times."

Cmon man, haven't you watched that south park episode?

You're a damn homer!

I'd rather you be a flip flopper atleast...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Eh, Isiah set him up for failure anyway by giving him so many props early on.

All Eddy can do now is fail, b/c he's been set up to be the "savior".

The guys isn't even an All-Star, and honestly...with Zach here, never will be.

Anyone care to share the last time a team won a playoff series without an All-Star on the team?

So you think that neither Curry nor Zach can be All Stars for this team? I'm can't agree with that. It's not a guarantee that they both will or if only one will, but I think if this team get's off to a good start they'll both get votes and have a chance to make it. It seems to me that you feel Curry has topped out and can't get any better. Is that how you feel? Or is it that you think the pairing of them will cause both to fail?

if you can't respect their opinion then either don't pay any attention to the post or find some other place to voice your opinions on the Knicks... it's that simple.

I don't want to put too fine a point on this, but it isn't really that simple.

Threads get locked here because people might get offended when posters are called "bad names".

But fans get offended when the guys they root for get called names too, and they might get downright pissed if someone suggests they be shot. Sorry, but that is an opinion no one should respect, Knick fan or no Knick fan.

And the rabid "emotion" of some New York fans displayed here isn't as insignificant to Knick discussion as you might think. Its out there on every New York Sports talk show, its pandered to in every piece Marc Berman writes, and if you don't think the media attention effects players you aren't paying attention to what is happening in any sport in this city.

Why does Dolan feel you can't rebuild here? What reason did Phill Jackson give for not even considering a position on this team? Why was Larry Brown more concerned about how he was viewed by this press then getting his players to play better.

It is all related, and in my opinion, worth discussing.

Word.

Zach was there for 1 full day. He came in on Wed night and is now gone
Malik was there for 1 or 2 full days. He came in Tuesday night or Wed night and is now gone.

By the way hypocrite Berman is now taking the next 10 days off for vacation, lol.

Some fans are just tired of repeated off-season hype about how "this" is the year our guys should be really motivated, with something to prove, etc, and dissapointed by TT and Jerome who'll never be motivated, curry and frye weak and upset, Francis and Penny recouping at home mid-season, Marbury seeling shoes and treating the team like a personal hobby, etc. Just once we'd like to see some of these go BEYOND the minimum to fulfill on this oft praised grandiose "potential", and fulfill the expectations and hype. This could have been one such opportunitites gone to waste. How many more should we expect/accept?

Two things that I thought were interesting about this.

1.) From the Berman blog:
1. Was very amused that Knicks trotted out Mark Aguirre in the fourth quarter on their MSG Network telecast to rave about Curry's conditioning. It looked like a preemptive strike, knowing that a critical column on Curry being a no-show at the Las Vegas workouts was forthcoming. Aguirre said Curry is "way ahead of schedule.'' Actually when I spoke to Aguirre two weeks ago, he said Curry wouldn't start real serious conditioning until mid-July.

2. The statement from Curry's camp about how Isiah needs to figure out how this will work.

I'm hopeful after a full season of Isiah coaching Eddy Curry personally and Isiah knowing that he will have to deal with the consequences of how he sets up the team in the future because he personally will be coaching it(and can't just dump his team that fits together terribly on someone else) he is more mindful of how things
work.

I'm hopeful that Isiah is now selling other gm's instead of selling us knicks fans. I'm hoping that Curry is on his way out, and that Aquire is just covering.

Cash why would you assume Berman is being honest about anything?
He has showed in the past how biased he is and that makes his credibility nill.

Who is Currys camp? I didnt know Curry had a "camp" An unidentified quote from Berman? That carries no weight. In my opinion Berman just like Larry Brooks whenever he wants to say something he just makes up an imaginary unidentified source. I know the Post is a tabloid and Berman is far from a reporter but he couldnt get a job at the Star or the Globe with his nonsense.

Zach and Curry are friends off the court.

I could care less that Zach and Curry are friends. I am Soley concerned about what works on the court. Common sense tells me they don't complement each other as well as other players could complement a player like Curry OR a player like Zach.

Why would a beat reporter risk his livelihood by completely fabricating stories? Especially concerning an organization that is as media conscious as the Knicks and who are more than willing to be vengeful towards people they think did them wrong?

You think being biased (funny how you don't mention reporters like Howard Beck, that are biased towards Isiah) ruins credibility? Fabricating stories completely destroys careers.

Thats not the point. Thepoint is Curry is a good guy who is friends with Zach and its doubtful anything like that came from him. Berman is a paid hack who makes his living printing garbage. Sometimes true. Sometimes not.

LOL You think everything the NY Post prints is true? Peter Vescey must love guys like you.

Berman is not a Reporter. He is a columnist. Reporters are supposed to report the truth. Columnists give there opinions.
