Two things that I thought were interesting about this.
1.) From the Berman blog:
1. Was very amused that Knicks trotted out Mark Aguirre in the fourth quarter on their MSG Network telecast to rave about Curry's conditioning. It looked like a preemptive strike, knowing that a critical column on Curry being a no-show at the Las Vegas workouts was forthcoming. Aguirre said Curry is "way ahead of schedule.'' Actually when I spoke to Aguirre two weeks ago, he said Curry wouldn't start real serious conditioning until mid-July.
2. The statement from Curry's camp about how Isiah needs to figure out how this will work.
I'm hopeful after a full season of Isiah coaching Eddy Curry personally and Isiah knowing that he will have to deal with the consequences of how he sets up the team in the future because he personally will be coaching it(and can't just dump his team that fits together terribly on someone else) he is more mindful of how things
work.
I'm hopeful that Isiah is now selling other gm's instead of selling us knicks fans. I'm hoping that Curry is on his way out, and that Aquire is just covering.
