Great win against a good team on the road. This team's talent starting to show. Props to Craw for this stretch...I'll admit I didn't think he'd improve this season, hopefully it isn't a trick again.

We can make the play-offs, I'm feelin' it!

I keep telling you, this team is on the right track.

The track to where exactly?

Playoff contention first. If they can add a big player, championship contention.

How do you propose they acquire that "big player"?

As I've said, Isiah's inefficient management has made that tough. It may not happen. But he has begun to lay a good foundation.

What's the point of a good foundation if you don't leave yourself the resources to build something on it?

Because of Isiah's insufficient management, do you have any confidence that he'll be able to turn them into championship contenders?

Dude, if that's how it plays out, you may be right, but let's see what happens. Maybe Frye can be packaged for SF.

I wouldn't say I have confidence, but I think the Knicks are in better shape than they have been since the Ewing era came apart.

I am gaining some hope.

I don't think they're in that quite better shape but fair enough.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Killa I know Lee's game better than anyone. The other night he had 15 points and 11 boards and played like a donkey. Tonight he played one of his better games of the year defensively and he never guarded Turiaf. You need to recognize how a guy plays and not just stats. I know for a fact odom had maybe 2 in the 4th quarter. The bottom line Frye and Lee play well together.

I'll agree King, Lee and Frye play well together, and that is why they should start together. Curry, Frye, and Lee are a triangle of different abilities in the front-court.

I have to ask you about why some dudes around here have the rose colored glasses when it comes to Lee. It's like he never makes a mistake. Against Utah he gets a dumb technical while the game was just a couple of points and I believe it was inside of a minute or two. Today he dribbles off of his foot or something in the last minute when he has a dunk. In the 3rd quarter the team played much better without him today.

He makes mistakes too, that is all I am saying, and defense is a big hole in his game. He played good D on Odom, but at the same time, Odom sucked against everybody tonight, I don't think anyone on the Knicks can stop Odom when he is on. Very similar to Curry, when Lee's man scores at will it tends to negate much of his contribution.

But you know what I have noticed? When he has these very high rebound games he tends to play worse D, and when he doesn't rebound as much he is usually playing his man better.

He might have to sacrifice a rebound or 2 to become a better defensive player. I am not worried about his progress at all and I see an all-star bid or 2 in his future, maybe even before Frye gets his next year!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT MY TEAM BOY? WHERE ARE ALL THOSE FREAKIN HATERS! I TOLD THIS TEAM WAS GROWIN!!!!! WHAT NOW B.........?

[bAND WE DID IT WITH KOBE THERE, SO WHAT NOW? HUH, ][/b]

It's you're turn in the sun Nix. Very good win tonight.

THANK YOU! This was a big win. I was so angry about the Utah loss and we should rightfully be 4-0 in Feb. It amazes me that there are still so many knick fans who are not excited about this team and how it's developing. What else can they do. This team came into the season with ZERO base or chemistry and they had to establish all of that during this season. The thing is THEY HAVE DONE IT! This team fight's like their coach Isiah used to and that is a direct reflection on his leadership. He got Curry to show fire and anger that no one thought he ever could. He's a nasty player at times now and he got Steph to be a much more team oriented player. He found a way to get this team to play a little D, which is a minor miracle for this group. Look at how hard Steph has been playing D this year. Guys like Frye and Steph were slumping early and he stuck with them and they are contributing even if they aren't having career years.

Look if you can't get behind this team and actually realize that this is just the beginning for this team and that they can and will be better next year, then I don't know what to say.

I agree with Rich. We're on the right track and have a decent assortment of tradeable talent to make a move.

Good win.

oh, and thanks for the memories, Larry. you're the worst coach I've seen in my life.

I was the first one to say Lee game against Utah he sucked and shouldnt have been out on the floor. To say Lee played bad defense tonight is crazy. To start the 3rd quarter odom had 5 quick points on Frye and then they put him on Vlad he get two wide open jumpers and misses them. All I care about is this team won a game that they needed

Knicks have been playing very well lately, won 5 of 8 and two of those losses were on the road by 2pts each. 7 out of 8 would've been very nice. ah well.

I want Frye and Lee to play more together because I the game is more fluid offensively. I am going to get killed for this statement but the Knicks will never win big with Curry as the franchise center

If you are replying to me, I am not saying he played bad D. I think he played pretty well, even though he didn't grab a ton of boards. And I think the reason he did not grab more boards is because he stayed home on his man! I don't mind him rebounding a little less when he picks up his D as a result!

the guy Lee was playing had 10 rebounds, thts a problem to me. Especially when Lee is our best rebounder.

Curry is not a franchise player until he starts playing defense. We need to get another star in here to bring this all together. That can come next year. What I want to know King1, is with 14 points for Frye and 12 points for Lee, do you really think them being smooth can carry the offensive load for this team night in and night out?

A nice quote from Odom.

Said Odom: "It was designed for me to take the ball to the hole. But Stephon Marbury did a good job of stepping up, so I just tried to explore and make a play. I always feel comfortable with the step-back. I think David Lee might have gotten a little piece of it. He's an athletic kid."

Congrats to Steph and Lee for playing good d. Doing the dirty work doesn't show in the stats, but it wins basketball games.

^good pickup Ira. It might not show up in stats but maybe it should get its own mention in a thread!

here here. There have been a few wins this season that helped me go to bed happy. Detroit, Charlotte, and this one. I missed Utah and Denver.

Either way despite the horrible missteps made by management that all of us are aware of, I'm happy that Curry is starting to realize his talent and it seems like Isiah has made huge strides in getting Steph to listen and be happy.

Congrats to Steph and Lee for playing good d. Doing the dirty work doesn't show in the stats, but it wins basketball games.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Silver here is why I think it would work. Frye is young and if he develop you can get 15 and 8 out of him. 12 and 10 out of Lee. You go trade for a stud 3 man like a Harrington and that is where you can get more scoring. You make sure the 3 man you get for Curry is a two way player and Frye and Lee defense will get better.

I think the Knicks should give Eddy a chance to improve his defense. He seems to want to be out there and play better. That could translate into effort on defense. I think it would be a bad idea to trade Eddy unless we can get a very good 2 way player in return like you said.
