Its amazing how I get pulled into being petty when i argue with you. I'm going to hold off replying in kind and sound juvenile. Did you see Eddy's clarification? That should tell you how wrong you were. Look for a problem when there is no problem.
I always take clarifications with a game of salt. Ty Thomas had a "clarified" his remarks, too. Hey I can handle being wrong about this too when everyone including Curry's coach "misunderstood" his remarks. But I don't think I am wrong, I think it at the Garden spin control is a way of life.
You don't think it's a problem when a player like Curry says something like that? Take out the fact that it is Curry and for the sake of argument say it was Mike Miller(a guy who has been in the league a while, and really is just starting to really break out) who said that if the coach leaves he wants to be traded. That's ok? I'm sorry, but I don't see it, IMO. I wouldn't get behind Miller, either.
Curry said Isiah as the head coach is good for the Knicks. He was looking out for the Knicks not what you had said earlier that he did not care about the Knicks. So do away with your bs interpretation. Curry was trying to say we are a better team with Isiah not that he does not care about the Knicks. But I have a feeling his clarification will not count with you because you will in classic form build a theory on one quote and totally ignore another quote just to stick to your theory.
Silver cut the crap insults. Taken as a whole the comments-while not the worst ever-are still not good. While you tell me what I choose to ignore, you're ignoring the absolute main point of the whole thing. To Eddy at least, this whole thing-at least on Friday-was about Isiah and not the Knicks. I am not buying fully into his "clarification". That is what PR guys are for. Do I hope that Curry's explanation is the truth? Sure. But I also see that this wasn't in a tense or chaotic situation(say after a big loss or a big win where emotions are high)-it was at practice in he middle of 4 days off. Curry never said he was misquoted, but that he was "misunderstood".
While it was good to hear in Curry's "explanation" that it was about the team, I have to take it with a grain of salt, because that is exactly what PR spin is for. No matter what he says after the fact, whether I believe it or not, good or bad, there is always a sliver of doubt whether it was him saying it or the Knicks speaking it through Curry's mouth.
