More Free throws and we woulda won easily. We killed them on the boards. This hurts.

excuses, excuses.

no, not excuses. Analysis. Anybody can say we suck. We all know we lost, but just as important as why we lost is how we lost.

We lost b/c we didn't execute down the stretch.

And it is excuses, excuses.

You could easily have said "More free throws for Indy and they woulda closed us out earlier".

See my point?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

The Knicks were competitive and that's a big change over the last couple of games.

we played well, ariza and frye were killing the boards, lee looked good as we expected and marbs played a good all around game. We got jobbed by the refs late, I mean they started in on mo taylor for some reason, I gues he was making the allstar jermaine oneal actually play hard, so they made sure the pecking order was correct, allstar and no star, so Mo taylor was put in his place... it sucks right now, but I see better days ahead..

Frye with 12 boards but don't be fooled, he only earned about half of those. The rest practically bounced into his hands. He doesn't really have a nose for the ball....not sure that's something you can teach. 7 boards a game will probably be his career average IMHO.

i gotta disagree. he had a play where he followed steph's drive, grabbed tha miss, and scoreed. he needs to do that more often. i really think he can be a double-digit rebounder.

Ummm...Marvin sweeti....that would've been part of the "half" that he earned.

He's pretty awful at boxing out, and he's only aggressive on boards half the time (not even really).

He's a Sheed-type rebounder....

i actually have a killer response to this that would slice through your argument like butter and leave you speechless.

but since you called me sweeti i'll give you a pass this time . . .

I didn't watch the game, but anytime Crawford is 4/14 from the field translates to losses for us.
He really needs to develop consistency if he's gonna be part of our bright future.

Trust me.

You can't lay this one on Crawford.

I didn't read the 200 replies on this thread but I liked what I saw from David Lee. He plays hard, intelligently, and with a lot of energy. He just needs to make those FTs. I like Frye's touch around the basket, not just on the perimeter, and wish he would take more shots. He does a nice job of following up on his misses. Marbury played hard and had a solid all-around game. Ariza's rebounding was great. The rest of the team was awful.

Eleven FT's missed that and the high number of 3 pt make by Indy is what put them over the top, not too mention a couple of untimely TO's by marbury along with the team's poor shooting 38%, that will get you a loss every nite.

Why I still stick with this team after 35 yrs, and living in Los Angeles, with the Paper Clips doing so well , is beyond me. I guess a glutton for punishment!

watch those clips - my man livingston's back! 2nd game in = 10 assists, assist/turnover ratio of 10:1. he's my favorite young player in the league (sorry channing, you can surpass him with some choice performances).

We lost b/c we didn't execute down the stretch.

that's it in a nutshell. overall, we don't have smart players that make smart plays when it matters.

That's right. Isiah has a knack for bringing in all brawn and no brain. If we're gonna get anywhere, we're gonna need SOLID role players next to our big 2 of Curry and Frye (I consider Frye a high IQ player himself). The Shane Battier types...that's what we need.
