Lee is exactly the kind of guy you have to have in your rotation. He gets boards, plays physical d, finishes like and all star, and blocks shots with either hand!

Should Lee go straight to the Hall of Fame or can he play a minute in the NBA first?

Isles, you keep ignoring my question. Don't worry, I can ask again. Or maybe I should be more specific. Ok..

Isles, are you a knicks' fan?

Probably for longer than most people on this board.

you are a Knick hater in denial. you root against this team. love when they loose to prove your own points.

Let me see a ray of sunlight and I'll be as positive as any Kool Aid drinker on this board.

Everything that has happened since I joined this board has been nothing but spinning our wheels without a plan and making moves for the sake of making moves. Until that changes there's nothing to be positive about.

Since you have been a knicks fan for so long, you must be tired of all the stupid trades of young players for veterans that have nothing left on their tank and don't make us anything more than a contender for a quick exit of the playoffs. This season it has been different. Look at the draft? We actually kept those players. We actually have more young players than old ones. We have a plan, and that is to be a run and gun team. Some people may not like it, but thats what we will be, and its a direction. It will be fun to watch the Knicks again. When did you see so many young players with great potential on the Knicks?

If you wait untill we win the championship (hopefully soon) to see the positive things happening in New York, to see the Knicks turnaround, you will miss the excitement of the process to get there. Don't be so negative, it does nothing good to your health. Enjoy as the Knicks take small steps in the right direction, for a change...

Terrible pick i think Isiah has proven himself to be a real dumb mother****er with this draft

I think you go Green or Granger with the first pick

Jack or Hodge with the Suns pick

And then take a chance on Blacthe, Taft, Deng Gi

Someone, this draft really proves their was no reason to make the Crawford trade last year and add all that salary, and JYD's contract, Isiah has no concept no plan, there is really no hope with this team

You swing for the fences in the draft you don't go after role players, which Frye is

comments like this confuse me, well actually they don't, everyone is enamored with the HS kids because they can always say "He has star potential" even after 10 years in the league people will be saying the same thing.. "He still has star potential". I mean how many of us have seen Blatche play at all. I can tell you I have seen Lee play and Robinson and frye. Robinson is a fantastic player, a great athlete and a smart player, guy played corner for the washington football program, enough said.. Frye is a player, I would not be suprised if he outplays Bogut.. Lee IMO would run circles around blatche and Taft who made a fool of himself. This kid is not just a hustle player, he can do it all and finish on the break. to call these picks dumb don't make sense to me..

you said it right the first time. dude you are confused. I'm noticed this for quite some time now. I tried to raise you the correct way but somehow i lost you somewhere along the way.

you are one of the posters who come in here screaming about how the Knicks should take a chance on this and that but then when they go into the other direction then you go on your "potential means nothing" campaign.

you play both sides of the fence.

i have more respect for a man that shoots me in my face than a man who stabs me in my back.

Let me clarify, I believe in taking chances, there are taking chances and then there is being stupid.. To me, Nate and Lee are taking chances, two young, very athletic guys, one is a small athletic freak, the other is a big athletic guy. To me those guys are taking chances, espeically when you had guys like Gomes and Stoudamire still on the board. So I don't see how I am playing both sides of the fence, I am pretty clear on my stance. I just don't get enamored with guys because they are in HS and everyone is yelling how much potential they have. I have never seen Blatche play, I have seen David lee and nate robinson play. Taft from what I have heard conducted himself like a clown in the workouts. I mean are you not tired of the knicks getting guys who need to be motivated, who need to have the warden around to behave? I know I am... If Green were there at 21 and we passed him up then I could see the uproar of not taking that kind of chance but I can see why IT took frye, and after that Nate and Lee seems like taking chances to me, I mean both guys were not projected as first rounders, they earned those picks.....

Another thing, I am all for potential, I never said Potential means nothing, I think you have a problem reading my post, because you always quote things I never say. anyway, I consider Lee and frye as well as nate guys with potential, I mean do you have to be 19 to have potential? I would have liked Blatche but like everyone in here we were going by the reports on this kid, so when the GM's who know better than we do let these guys slide, why all of a sudden they are wrong? sometimes they are, they may well be, but I am happy with our picks..

David Lee has gotta be taller than 6'9". Herb is a legit 6'11" man. Frye is shoulder to shoulder with him. Look at where Lee is at, he is gotta be 6'10".

LOL!

I think it might be the angle their standing at or something. I think Lee's height with shoes on was 6'9" in the pre-draft official measurements.

I remember reading somewhere that Lee measured about 6'9 3/4 for some teams.

Lee has a hat on and we don't really know Herb's true height. I have trouble imagining that they incorrectly measured him at 6'9" w/shoes on in the pre-draft measurements.

You know guys Charles Barkley wasn't even 6'4" without shoes. Whatever Lee's height if he's got the goods he's gonna kick butt.

From that article:

...but it was interesting because the trainer from Utah was the one giving the measurements, and I think I was 6'7" 3/4 (without shoes) and I want to say it was the workout before Chicago I was in Utah and he had me at 6'8" 1/2 with no shoes, so I asked him, "So which one was off?"

Andrew ... if you measure yourself at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day... You can be up to an inch shorter at the end of the day due to spinal compression by gravity. This could be an explanation.

I wonder if the measurements were at different times of day. And yes, I'm a science geek.

Who cares? They are both good and athletic and LONG bball players who compete with Herb in terms of being taller. This is very good stuff. Now all we need is Dalembert!
